"Carl did a beautiful job on our patio. Quality of his work is top notch. He came over to look at the patio area and gave us an estimate all within 24 hours. Also, came over a second time to make adjustments. That re-quote was same day. He was a pleasure to work with. I wish all contractors were like this. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bongiorno & Sons."

Customers say: Quality work

"We have used Peter for almost 20 years at two different residences. He transformed our backyard and our property with complete landscaping services along with hardscape for pool, patio and brick steps. He is very responsive and willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. His masons and workers have been with him for YEARS and their skill is unmatched. Would highly recommend."

"Jessy was the reason I went with this company, she got what my idea was and went with it. She used her experience to transform my idea and elaborate on it. Her workers were prompt and precise with the idea. I still can't believe how beautiful the patio came out."

"All I can say is excellent!! Sal was a pleasure to work with and very responsive and on time! His crew is awesome!! I called for a price and he was here within 3 hours and everything from there went very smooth! Sal was helpful all the way through. His crew and himself worked very hard and my job was done in 3 days and it looks beautiful!! In less than a week I have 2 new patio areas after my initial call. I am very happy with the work that they performed they went above and beyond! Everything is clean and it doesn’t even look like I just had work done! I would highly recommend anyone needing his services…. Hire him!! Thank you Sal and your crew!"

"Great!  Very pleased with this provider.  Pleasant and responsive on phone - initially emailed pictures of structure to see if they could provide appropriate services and called me right back and was quickly available to come over for a free estimate and preliminary measuring for pricing.  Estimate quote was between two others I received from other companies ($1100 and another $1600-$1800) and used the same Sunbrella fabric (and was far more professional than the cheaper company I dealt with for an estimate).  He brought a book of fabric to choose from and offered a few more, wrote up an official quote and I gave a check for half.  He promised a 2 week turned around time, which was really about a month... I initially wasn't in any rush as it was early spring, but when I called to check in the girls on the phone were VERY sweet and professional and would get back to me as promised.  I told them I was hoping to have it for a party I had planned last minute and they had it completed and installed the day before.  Installation took about 15 minutes and it looks great!!  Very pleased.  Good sturdy material...  They offered to remove and re-install in Fall and Spring for winter storage for a small fee... but I haven't asked what this would be as of yet.

Patios questions, answered by experts

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.

A Florida room is a home addition that has finished walls with windows lining the perimeter, while a screened-in porch, also known as an Arizona room, lacks windows and instead has screens to maintain constant ventilation. Florida rooms provide longer enjoyment throughout the year because they’re closed off and will naturally get heated from the sun, while a screened-in porch will just be the same temperature as the ambient air.

A prefab sunroom will last for between 10 and 20 years in most cases, although you could get up to 50 years out of a high-quality prefab sunroom. In addition to material quality, your prefab sunroom’s lifespan will depend on the foundation type and the climate in your area. Extreme weather and expansive soil can decrease the expected life.

A solarium is a luxury addition to a home and can be an excellent breakfast area or reading space, but that doesn't mean there aren't disadvantages. For one, since the room is made of glass it can look dirty very quickly. Another disadvantage is solariums are notoriously hard to balance temperature and will most likely significantly increase your heating and air conditioning bill. Unlike a greenhouse addition to a house, a solarium won’t help you grow as many plants.

A deck is typically attached to a house and accessed via the back door. Decks are usually constructed from wood or composite materials. A terrace, on the other hand, is a raised platform that can be attached to or detached from the house and is typically made from a hard-paved material, such as paving stones. Terraces can be built on the ground or on the roof of a home.
