"Damon was awesome. Super nice and professional. We requested a quote and he was here the next day. Was flexible and worked around our tricky schedule for the project. Not only removed stumps, but took down a few dead trees, cleared some overgrowth, and ripped out some rogue roots for no additional cost. Pricing was insanely reasonable compared to other quotes we got. Definitely recommend to anyone, 5 stars all around!"

"Based on the amount of work they did for clearing out a bunch of bushes, weeds, grass and tree branches, the price was definitely reasonable and worth it. I would definitely be using their service in the future. And I recommend anyone looking for any landscaping needs to use this service."

"I recently hired Willow Tree Arborists for a large tree removal job and was extremely satisfied with every aspect of their service. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing professional and reliable tree care. ?From the initial consultation to the final cleanup, the entire team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a keen attention to detail. The job involved removing some very large branches that hung precariously over my home, and I was particularly impressed with their commitment to safety. They meticulously planned and executed the cuts, clearly prioritizing the protection of my property throughout the entire process. It was evident that putting safety first is a core value of their operation. ?Beyond their outstanding work ethic, I was equally happy with their affordability. They provided a very competitive and reasonable quote, offering excellent value for the high quality of work performed.overall i had a great experience and highly recommend this company!!!"

"I recently hired Lemus Tree Service to take care of some tree-related issues on my waterfront property. Our property has a bunch of really old trees, some are the soft kind, and others are the hard kind. They make our place look amazing, but they also come with some problems. There were these big branches from the old hard trees hanging dangerously over our porch, which was super risky. And we had these tall softwood trees on one side that could have fallen over and hit our house during strong winds. So, I got in touch with Lemus Tree Service, and the owner, Mr. Gelvis Lemus, came over quickly to give us a work outline and price estimate. I was pretty impressed because he didn't just tell us how much it would cost; he also taught us a bunch of cool stuff about taking care of trees. The whole process, from the first quote to when they finished the job, was super professional. The crew explained how they were going to cut down the trees in parts and how they'd clean up afterward. They did a great job, and we felt safe because they knew what they were doing. The service they provided was really good . They trimmed the trees and removed them carefully, so those dangerous branches were gone, and the tall softwood trees were no longer a big risk. The crew knew a lot about trees, paid attention to details, and made sure everything was safe. They left our place clean, which was awesome. The cost of the tree service was reasonable, especially when you consider the potential for significant roof damage that could have been much more expensive. I firmly believe it was a worthwhile investment because they delivered excellent work, maintained a high level of professionalism, and ensured our safety throughout the process. I totally stand by everything I've said in this review. In short, Lemus Tree Service is a trustworthy choice for taking care of your trees. They know their stuff, act professionally, and make sure everything is safe. Plus, their prices are reasonable. So, if you have trees that need some care, especially if they're old and possibly dangerous, Lemus Tree Service is a solid pick."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The cost of professional tree trimming averages $460, with a typical range between $200 and $760. However, prices can be as low as $75 or as high as $1,800 depending on several factors. The size and type of the tree are major cost drivers; for example, trimming Crepe Myrtle trees costs an average of $80 to $400, while trimming giant pine trees can range from $200 to $1,800. Other factors that influence the price include the time of year, as services are often more costly in the spring. The tree's accessibility and your location also play a role, as a remote or hard-to-reach tree may increase the cost. Some professionals may offer a discount if you have multiple trees to trim.

You’ll want to have your palm trees trimmed during the spring, ideally in May, before hurricane season sets in, which generally takes place during the late summer. Palm trees grow fastest over the summer months. You’ll also want to trim your palm trees when you notice:

  • Brown fronds

  • Dry leaves

  • Flower pods

  • Fruit

  • Fronds overgrown in power lines

  • Frond encroaching upon your neighbor’s home or yard

  • Visible damage from a storm

Generally, you should prune around 20% of an apple tree’s growth—and never more than 30%. This means that if you have a severely overgrown tree, it can take a few seasons to prune it back enough to produce the healthiest fruit.

If you’re dealing with a newly planted or juvenile tree, hold off on pruning beyond the initial shaping. Wait at least a couple of seasons into fruit production since pruning can increase the number of water sprouts and unproductive foliage.

Palm trees will not regrow from a stump once the tree has been cut down. This type of tree is unique because the root and stump system will slowly decay after the tree is gone, unlike other species that can regrow. That’s why it’s preferable to remove dead or decaying palm tree stumps quickly as they can become an eyesore and don’t offer future growing potential.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.
