"Handyman Bill did I terrific job mounting my TV. He was clean, polite, funny and professional. The TV was mounted properly and he left the area very clean. He does other small jobs as I had him paint a door while he was here. Again, clean and professional. “The guy knows what he is doing.” I highly recommend Handyman Bill for the next time you need your TV mounted or have a small job. Great guy and very trustworthy. Thanks Handyman Bill!"

"I donâ t usually write reviews. But Mr. Kim conducted his work with high professionalism . His work was neat and efficient, I was very happy with the end result of installation of my home cameras. He was honest explain to me how to adjust my cameras and provided signage even though I never asked for it. His price was very reasonable and I would recommend him."

"I was impressed with Angel from our first conversation. He came to see the space for the job I needed, and gave me a quote (install surround sound system.) As soon as I purchase the equipments he recommended, he’s who I’m calling. What’s even more amazing is I asked his advice advice about an unrelated problem I had with syncing my beats noise canceling headphones to my tv and he didn’t hesitate to help. It’s so hard to find people who are kind, courteous and professional. This was a refreshing experience."

"Steven Abreu took ownership of the project and said he would not leave until the job was done. He was very competent and figured out a phone connection issue that my cable company was unable to correct. He showed up on time and I'm happy that I hired him"

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.

Pro expertise allows optimal angling and cable management, improving room aesthetics.

Yes, you can mount a TV on plaster walls—as long as you attach it to the studs. Alternatively, you can use toggle bolts, molly bolts, or another type of hardware that’s strong enough to support a TV.

If you aren’t comfortable with this type of project, you can hire a pro. The cost of mounting a TV to a plaster wall ranges from $25 to $600 (or more), depending on the TV’s weight, size, and other factors.

Fire and electronics typically don't mix, but that doesn't mean you can't mount your TV on a brick fireplace. However, you should proceed with caution. If you do not use your fireplace regularly, you can be assured that your TV will remain undamaged. However, if you do take advantage of it, be aware that hot air, containing soot, will travel upwards. Even with the flue fully open, the temperature above the fireplace can still get very high.

Yes, drywall can hold a 50-pound TV. However, when mounting a TV, you’ll either need to attach it to wall studs or use drywall anchors. If you use anchors, make sure to buy a type that can hold at least 50 pounds. Molly bolts, threaded anchors, and toggle bolts are all good options. For extra support, you can also install a wall mounting plate with the anchors.
