"They came at the promised time of 8am. We needed them to move our tv from one room to another. They came in and took off their boots so they didn't dirty our house. They took the tv off and the wall mount and easily hung it up. They patched up the holes from the original install. I had a splitter for my cable box and blu ray player because I only had one HDMI input. They rewired and installed it so I don't need the splitter anymore. They hid all of the wires. The job took about one hour and 15 minutes."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

It’s highly recommended to use studs for a TV mount. The last thing you want is to be watching your favorite show when the TV falls off the wall. Studs are much stronger than drywall and quite a bit stronger than drywall anchors but, if you can’t find the studs or there simply aren’t any where you need them, you can use drywall anchors. It’s extremely important to make sure the anchors are rated for the load of the TV. We recommend using anchors that are rated far beyond the weight of whatever you’re hanging. Our suggestion is metal drywall toggle anchors.

Choosing the right size of wall anchors is essential for a secure installation. The size of the wall anchors should match the size of the screws you plan to use. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific wall anchors you purchase. Typically, the packaging of the wall anchors will indicate the appropriate screw size and diameter for a proper fit.

You will be placing holes in the wall to hang the mounting bracket. If you’re mounting a large TV, the bolts in use could make significant holes around half an inch in diameter. Other than a few holes, though, the process of mounting the TV should not cause significant damage to the wall, unless you make an error and miss the wall stud, tearing out drywall. Should you decide to remove the mount later, the DIY drywall repair cost for a small hole usually is $10 to $30. It’s a repair you can do in a few minutes.

Coax cable connects to your television, modem, or cable box. Look for a female coax connection on these devices. Your coax cable will connect to any of these. The other end of the wire runs to the service connection coming into the house.

Reinforcing techniques and heavy-duty mounts are used to ensure stability and safety.
