"I had a DOT Violation and needed the sidewalk replaced.

I did my homework before I went with Luigi.  He wasn't the most expensive nor was he the cheapest.
His price was fair and he did the right thing.  He didn't try to take shortcuts or shortchange me.  I've seen my fair share of shady contractors in the past.

Luigi was there every step of the way.
He was courteous, professional and he took care of the work with pride.  It has been over 4.5 months since his work is completed.  My DOT violation has been dismissed and my concrete looks great.

I'm really happy that I chose him and will definitely look forward to hiring him for future concrete/masonry services.

"We hired JB to put in a short driveway and repair some broken concrete in front of our garage. It was a joint project with the next door neighbors, who also needed their bluestone sidewalk replaced with concrete in order to make a workable driveway. I asked if I could have the salvaged bluestone. JB took care of the city permits, and the workers were there at 8 AM, prying up bluestone and piling it neatly in my back yard. The driveway looks great."

"Thank you so much for the great job you and your company has done in replacing the walkway on the side of my house. The job was completed on time, quickly, efficiently and neatly. Due to the new walkway the basement did not leak after the recent rain. I will be using Red Brick Masonry, Inc again."

"Rafael and his guys are true professionals and did an amazing job! Arrived bright and early each day and ready to work! Explained what he was going to do each day and gave his professional opinion on the job which I'm happy i agreed with. He and his guys are very pleasant and cleaned up very well at the end of each day. The end product is top notch! All of my neighbors have since booked him to do their yards. "Sonny installed a beautiful bluestone patio for us. He was patient with us as we decided on which stone to use, navigated tricky installation around basement windows and grills, and installed the patio in a single day! His team cleaned up all materials and were very precise in the stone cuts and cement seams. It has been almost a year since installation and it has held up beautifully, even through the snow and salt this winter!"

Masonry questions, answered by experts

A well-made brick wall can last up to 100 years if maintained properly, which includes regularly repairing the mortar every 30 to 50 years. If your brick wall is under 30 years old and is already showing signs of repair, it may be due to poor brickwork and installation. Extreme weather conditions can also accelerate a brick wall’s life span (especially the exterior of a house).

Yes, staining a brick home can increase a home’s value, assuming your pro does a good job and you keep up with maintenance tasks. Staining brick is a much better way to increase a home’s value than painting brick, as the latter can cause chipping, warping, and bubbling. Brick stain, on the other hand, gets absorbed by the surface, so it can still breathe.

Do not use super glue to hang lights on brick unless you want your lights up year-round. Hot glue is a better choice because it’s easily removable with a small amount of rubbing alcohol. Super glue is very hard to remove, and you could tear off parts of the brick in the removal process.

Use fire bricks for a brick pizza oven. These bricks are typically used for fireplaces and chimneys as they can withstand high temperatures from heat sources. If you attempt to use any other kind of bricks, it’s likely that this material will crack from such high heat exposure in the best case—and potentially explode and cause serious harm in the worst case.

You can purchase from many brick manufacturers and distributors via their websites, where you can also get estimates based on the quantity you need. You’ll find bricks at your local home improvement stores as well, though they won’t have as much of a variety to choose from. As for antique bricks, secondary selling websites like eBay can be a great resource.
