Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."

From March through early June, I tried several times to contact Rob and get someone to come, but each time I called or texted, I’d get a promise to stop by, but no one ever did. In fact, several times I was told a day and time, but no one would show up and no call to let me know. I got tired of this and tried the number of the 911 “national headquarters” but with the same results, again after multiple calls - someone would “follow up” or would have Rob call me, but no one ever did get back to me. I called Service Master and they came out to give me an estimate and completed the work in July. During that time, I finally got hold of Rob’s associate and told him I was getting someone else to do the work and that I also found out they had used the wrong size fan and had not connected the vent in the attic to the outside and had left wiring exposed in the attic. I told him I expected them to refund me for paying for a job not done, and he blew up at me over the phone, yelling at me that I was accusing Rob of being a liar. Then Rob called and I told him I was getting someone else to do the work and that I expected him to refund me the money for a job they did not do. He said he would send me a check, but then he also began yelling at me that I was accusing his friend of being a liar! They both frightened me and I told them not to call me again. However, in early August when there was still no check in the mail, I called again and was told it would be sent at the end of the month when they filed their insurance claim and cut their checks. I finally took him to small claims court and he never showed up - surprise! The judgement was made in my favor but now it has gone to the Sheriff's and again, he has not responded. I am afraid I will never see that refund. He is the worst business person and should not be trusted!!"

To date, they still have over $8K of my money which should be sitting in my savings account earning interest instead of paying their bills. I want to make it clear that the staff who works for them, namely Sal, is wonderful and is a great worker/contractor in his own right. When Sal comes to the property he is professional, courteous, hard working, and very timely. I cannot stress this enough. The two owners of this business, on the other had, have done nothing but disappoint us. So many empty promises, over-promising and under-delivering, 3 bounced checks, recently missed appointment for the last phase of our project, and 3 or more unanswered messages to confirm and then to ask why they didn't show and when to expect our money that has been promised since JANUARY! Josh is such a nice guy and I hate to write this review and update but a business person he is not. I wish him and his wife all the best but could never use them again."

"The owner of Your Way Home Improvement came to give us an estimate on August 17th to inspect and repair our soffits to keep pests out. He showed us a piece of ripped off notebook paper with the estimate on it and asked for a $1,000 deposit for a job that would be approximately $1,900. Because we had had such a difficulty time trying to find someone to do the job, we foolishly wrote a check for the $1,000 without a formal contract. Mr. Hedrick told us that he would start the job either Friday the 19th or Monday the 22nd. The check cleared our account on the 19th but we still had not heard from Mr. Hedrick. On Monday the 22nd, I texted Mr. Hedrick to ask when he planned to begin work. He responded that he had just gotten his phone back, that his brother was helping him on the job because he had a truck to carry the equipment and it shouldn't be much longer. I thanked him and told him we were getting nervous; he responded that there was no need to be nervous. On the 25th I texted Mr. Hedrick again asking for a start date. He stated that he had just messaged his brother and would get back to us as soon as he received a response. On Monday the 29th I texted Mr. Hedrick requesting our $1,000 deposit be returned as soon as possible and we would find another contractor to do the job: no response. I texted again on the 30th and received no reply. Mr. Hedrick did respond to BBB stating that he would contact us to remedy the situation; I responded that all we wanted was our money back. No response to BBB following this. My understanding was that at one time he was a very good contractor; such a shame that this is no longer the case."
