"Dave is a super great guy and I am lucky to had found him. The plumbing in this house has not been touched in decades and it showed. He replaced my hot water tank, installed a whole house water filter, he removed a bunch of unnecessary pipes and valves and simplified the plumbing. Also installed the toilet and and kitchen faucet. It has been almost a month since the work was completed and no issues. Dave is super knowledgeable and has attention to detail. He is my go to for all my plumbing needs here in Stephentown. He does it right the first time. Thank you for all your hard work and I highly recommend Dave for any plumbing needs."

"Simons just installed a Lennox high efficiency furnace and AC unit at my residence and we couldn't be happier with the process from start to finish. Tammy does a great job of coordinating both the estimation and install phases with excellent communication. Aaron was our install tech and completed the installation within the committed time. Not only does the system perform beautifully, Aaron's attention to detail in creating a neat installation both inside and outside the house was appreciated. Simons are professionals all the way, and we are extremely pleased with the whisper quiet high efficiency furnace!"

"We highly recommend Andrew , as he did a beautiful job of drywall installation, taping, sanding, and cleaning up. He was on time, gave us a fair price, and it was quality workmanship all the way. This was a challenging job and he completed it flawlessly."

"I hired Steve to help me install 4 windows at my house in Lake Luzerne. Steve reached out to me immediately after the inquiry and we discussed the project in detail. Within a day or two he stopped by the house to look at the scope of the project. The price quote was excellent, we hired him. He was a pleasure to work with and had great communication skills . The window installation was completed and it looks great. I asked Steve if he could help me again this weekend, he is scheduled to come back Saturday morning. Nice, honest, respectful person. I would highly recommend him for any of your household projects. 👍. Below are the 4 finished exterior walls. The other are before and after pictures. Pine T & G is going up this weekend."

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.
The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350.
