"I used A-Star last summer. It went very well. From the salesman to the installers, everyone was very professional, very accommodating, and very punctual. The installation was done in the end of August 2014. When I initially contacted them, summer was just around the corner. As you can imagine, they were booked solid for installations through almost the end of summer, however, they loaned me 4 or 5 (I don't remember exactly) brand new window units to put throughout my house until they could complete the installation, and at no additional cost. I was very pleased with their service. Recently, an issue arose with the thermostat that affected our ability to use the Central Air. They came as soon as I called and serviced it at no charge being as that it had been installed less than a year ago. They offer service plans in connection with the manufacturers warranty, and they were significantly cheaper price wise than all the local competitors. I will continue to utilize their company and service, as well as highly recommend them to others.

"Mark was the first electrician to respond to us after I visited HomeAdvisor.com. He provided multiple options for us to meet for the project. We had been having an issue with some sections of our house not working and we know it needed some things done to improve the electric before we put it up to sale . Mark began troubleshooting the problem and was able to identify and fix the issue. This was great news since we had someone else look at it earlier who could not figure it out. As it turned out, we had a faulty outlet in the master bedroom that was wired through the attic instead of straight up from the basement. Problem solved and a big weight off our shoulders. After Mark replaced the outlet, he also diagnosed and solved an issue with our dining room light. The dimmer switch was shot. Mark also made some reasonable recommendations for us to upgrade our circuit breaker panel, and we are going to have him do that. The price was reasonable for all that he was doing (including re-routing the sump pump line to ensure it is in code). I will use Mark and MZ Electric for all of our future electrical service needs and recommend him with confidence to anyone I know."

"Not only did they do some electrical wiring upgrades but also installed backyard lighting including landscape lighting and motion sensor lights. Installed electric to our hot tub. Ran conduit and installed power to our outdoor "tiki bar" During the holidays they did our Christmas lights. On a Sunday afternoon we placed an emergency call as we noticed smoke and smell coming from our outdoor meter. They not only showed up right away but found that our meter was completely corroded and a potential hazard so they worked for hours until the job was finished. They are always consistently on time, very knowledgeable, and extremely professional. I will continue to use them for future needs and highly recommend them!!"

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
