"The most important attribute of a tree service is that they show up when they say to estimate and then perform the work within a short time afterward. These guys did both. The crew worked quickly and efficiently, doing everything they were asked. I'd hire them again."

"G & G Landscaping is amazing! We had a huge 25 ft beam that fell on our neighborâ s fence in Watervliet, NY. I sent G & G a request late at night; they answered within a couple hours and came over shortly the next day. They took care of the beam with no problem and even removed it for us. They were extremely reasonably priced, friendly, and communicative. While they were still at our property we asked them to take down three arborvitae as well, which they did within 1.5 hours and completely cleaned the area afterward. We are so impressed and grateful for their prompt help. I canâ t recommend them enough!"

"We had a triple trunk, huge silver maple in our back yard that needed to come down. Its location made access and removal tricky. We started this project 3 years ago and waited for someone to actually keep their promise of showing up to do the job. In total, we had spoken to 8 Tree Service Companies, but they kept ghosting us, and we determined they just didn’t want the job. Finally we found ER Tree Services. Edwin was great at communicating with us, agreed to remove our tree within 2 weeks and kept his word. His team showed up on time, went right to work and masterfully took down this huge tree. The workers were professional, polite and careful in the falling of the tree and the removal of all the debris. Our backyard look great when they finished their clean-up. Several neighbors reached out, saying how amazed they were watching this crew work with such skill and synchronicity. We absolutely can’t say enough positive things about Edwin and his team. They are the only Tree Service we would ever recommend"

"I just hired Nick's to remove 3 trees in front of my house and I highly recommend their service. They were on time, they did everything in one day, no drama, no problems, just at a reasonable cost. I still have a couple more projects that I would like to do in my house and I will definitely call them again."

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

You can expect to pay about $1,000 to $4,000 to have a fallen tree removed. Trees that have fallen require more labor to remove than one that's standing.

In Albany, the timeline for tree service projects varies by task and tree size. Removing a small ornamental tree may take just a few hours, while mature tree removal or large-scale pruning can extend into a second day. Scheduling is often quicker in winter, but spring and fall are busiest for local arborists. Weather delays and site access, especially in older Albany neighborhoods, can also impact completion time.

Helpful?

Albany’s climate directly affects tree service planning. Winter’s cold limits some work, but dormant pruning is often ideal for tree health. Spring rains can delay projects due to soft ground, while summer storms may cause emergency removals. Fall is favored for major tree trimming thanks to milder weather. Local soil conditions, like heavy clay, can also influence equipment access and the timing of root-related services.

Helpful?

In Albany, combining tree service with landscaping or gutter cleaning can streamline your home’s upkeep. Coordinating tree trimming with lawn reseeding or garden bed installation means crews can handle debris removal and site prep together, reducing disruptions. Many local arborists offer bundled services or seasonal maintenance packages, which can simplify scheduling and help you maintain a tidy, attractive property throughout the year.
