Placing either a layer of mixed-size gravel or a paver base under your crushed concrete driveway is a good idea. This solution is either cementitious or made of polyurethane, and it will seal the crack and make your driveway appear undamaged.

You should have at least 4 to 6 inches of compactable base under your concrete slab. Your contractor may recommend more depending on the structure.
