"Craig and the men working on my new breaker box were very helpful. Actually, they went above and beyond. After NVEnergy unhooked my electricity so Craig could do the work, NVEnergy said they would not hook my electricity back up until a tree was trimmed. Craig made several calls on my behalf to get this problem solved. Craig was also very knowledgeable and willing to offer advice before he was ever hired. I went with D C Electrical because Craig was honest and upfront."

"I had an outlet installed. They recommended the best way to run the electrical wires to cause the least amount of holes in the drywall. They were very tidy and cleaned up well. They were fast and efficient."

"My hot tub power stopped. I decided the first step would be to have the breaker checked. I was worried as a freeze could damage the components. Pedro responded within an hour, was at my house within 4 hours. Pedro tested the fuse, determined it was bad all the while explaining to me what he was doing and the results. Within an hour my electricity was restored to the hot tub! He was upfront about the price which I feel was appropriate. I really appreciated Pedro's professionalism!"

"NN Low Voltage did an outstanding job installing our in-ceiling home theater system, which included wiring, equipment, and speakers. They were very clean and professional during the installation, and we were so impressed with their considerable home theater knowledge. The system, placement, and results absolutely exceeded our expectation, and their pricing was very reasonable given their talent. We highly recommend them."

Yes, many remodels include electrical upgrades for lighting, outlets, or charging stations. Confirm with your contractor.

An air conditioner’s watt usage depends on multiple factors, including the type of AC unit, its size, and how often you use it. With that said, most central air conditioners consume between 3,000 and 3,500 watts. Meanwhile, window AC units use 900 to 1,400 watts, and portable air conditioners consume 2,900 to 4,100 watts.

A small sump pump running infrequently uses an average of 10 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity per month. The average cost for electricity is $0.171 per kWh. The size and use frequency affect how much electricity it uses. Sump pumps average one-third to one horsepower (hp) motors. One hp is equal to 745.7 watts. Watts multiplied by the time your pump is running divided by 1,000 equals your average kWh. Multiply kWh by your average cost of electricity. In areas with high rain or a marsh basin, the average cost can be as high as $15-$25 a month.

Electric bills tend to be lower in spring and fall because people use less electricity during these seasons. Milder temperatures allow for less use of heating and cooling, unlike during winter and summer, which usually bring more extreme temperatures.

The common, marked as COM or C, is one of the terminals found in your light switch. It houses the live wire that supplies the input voltage. The other terminals, marked as L1 or L2, are the outputs to the light fixtures. Depending on if you have a one-way or two-way switch, you’ll either have just an L1 terminal or both an L1 and L2 terminal.
