"Ernesto was very pleasant & professional. He was honest in forming us what needed to be done to re-hang our gutters, which ended up needing to be completely replaced including the facia. He was prompt on both times he came to the house. I will definitely refer his company if anybody needs gutter repair or replacement. Thank you Ernesto & team."

Small jobs welcome

"Jordan responded quickly to our request for a handyman, which is unusual for our Dayton location. He fit us in to his schedule within a day, and kept us informed of his arrival time. When he arrived, he was very friendly, courteous, and went right to work on our problem, which he dealt with efficiently and repaired it in short order. When finished, he cleaned up and put everything back in place. On his departure he mentioned no job was too big or too small and to please call him if we needed anything. I’m already thinking of projects we will need help with and will not hesitate to use his services in the future. Thank you Jordan"

"Doug and team did a fantastic job, and quickly on short notice. They definitely over delivered and I am more than happy with the work. I highly recommend them. It was only 50 feet of fence replacement, but this new section is going nowhere for a very long time."

"Mark came out, looked at my roof. Found the spot where water was coming in, and found another area that needs repaired before it starts leaking. Waiting now on the estimate to repair the roof so I can submit it to my insurance company."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

When you need to repair your galvanized gutters from leaks and caulk isn’t doing the job, you can solder your gutters with a roofer’s soldering iron. First, you’ll need to clean your gutters thoroughly with a wire brush and remove rust and oxidized paint. Next, you’ll make weld points on the gutter and solder over the connection until it’s completely smooth. You can also hire a roofing company near you to tackle this project.

Unless you've chosen to install underground downspouts, your gutter downspouts shouldn't touch the ground. If they come into contact with the soil or pavement next to your home, rainwater can back up into them during a storm, preventing them from doing their job effectively. Instead, aim to have your downspouts end about 12 inches from the ground.

The average cost to install or replace gutters is around $2,000, with typical project costs ranging from $900 to $7,000. Most companies charge between $4 and $30 per linear foot. The total price depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the complexity of its footprint, the gutter material (e.g., vinyl, metal), and the gutter style (e.g., half-round, custom-built). Additional elements like downspouts, corners, and optional add-ons like gutter guards can also increase the price. The condition of your roof is another consideration, as new gutters cannot be installed on a rotting or sloping roof. While it can be an expensive upfront cost, new gutters are a worthwhile, long-lasting investment for protecting your home's exterior. You can save up to half on labor costs by installing them yourself.

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.

Yes, it is okay to knock down icicles yourself. Just make sure to take the proper safety precautions. If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, contact a roofing professional.
