"Hired Ricardo Borjas to paint interior rooms and repair baseboards. His painter did such a great job (fast, neat...no paint splatters) that I asked him to paint entire exterior of house. This included exterior walls and doors and patio cover. Job was done neatly and house looks beautiful. Borjas is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. My job was done well and done fast. Highly recommend!"

"I needed my garage walls and floors painted. Brad got back to me immediately and was able to do the job that weekend. He was on time and communicated all the details and the price was reasonable. I plan to hire him for any future jobs and have recommended his services to my close friends and family."

"It went absolutely amazing, I have been done wrong with last paint job, so I was kinda worried, and very picky, but Jake worked with us and was very professional, thorough, helpful, and always had a great attitude. Work was very clean and looks totally awesome.....no matter how many times I bugged him he was right on it, no problem, they were always on time and completed job in great time. "Mark was awesome to work with and get the ball rolling. His crew was punctual and professional. The 2 day project only took them 1 day. They painted 3 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, stairwell, 2 hallways, half a living room and half of my kitchen. Price was fair and competitive. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs painting done."

"I had a small job that requires painting of a set of faded and chipped exterior decorative rails in front of a window on the 2nd floor of my house. Daniel and his son showed up to the job on time with all necessary equipment, prep the rails for painting by scraping off all loose paints before starting to paint the rails. Daniel did an excellent job in matching the color of the existing paint on the rails. The quality of his work was outstanding and his price was reasonable. A neighbor stopped by to ask Daniel to give him a quote for painting the entire exterior of his 2-story house. He did some quick calculations based on the estimated square footage of his house and gave the neighbor a reasonable quote as well. My impressions of Daniel is that he is honest and a man of his words, a true professional. I would have no hesitations hiring D&L Painting Services again for any painting work in the future."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

Penetrating sealer seeps into concrete pores to protect it from moisture and staining, cracking, and mold caused by water. This means you cannot remove penetrating sealers like topical sealers. The good news is that penetrating sealant doesn’t have to be removed before resealing, as most topical sealers must. Instead, you’ll want to buy a compatible penetrating sealant (often the same kind already in the concrete) and apply it. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

While the above methods will help you remove paint from tiles, you may need to take a different approach to get rid of grout haze. If you’ve recently applied the grout, you may be able to wipe it off with a wet cloth. Otherwise, you can try removing it with a rubber grout float, spraying it with a mixture of four parts water to one part vinegar, or using a store-bought grout haze remover.

Linoleum adhesive is quite stubborn, so you may have to try several different methods for removal. You can start with a wallpaper steamer and steam it off or add laundry detergent to water and let it soak into the adhesive. You can try paint thinner directly on the adhesive for about 10 minutes and then wipe away.

Professionals may use a variety of methods to remove old paint from surfaces, often depending on the size and complexity of the surface. Paint scraping in combination with a chemical paint stripper is the most common method, but experts might also use heat or steam to loosen everything before peeling the paint off. Some might just sand off the old paint if the surface is relatively flat and easily accessible.
