"We used the special Angie's List discount offer, so got good deal. Kevin & Brandon called when they were on the way. They were very nice & professional. They ran a snake all the way through the line & got several clogs cleared quickly. They got it draining again & explained everything clearly. They even gave tips on how to prevent clogs in the future."

"Hired to Install and maintain Hot Water Heater. Provided prompt information and came ahead of scheduled and completed the Installation, and while there, performed a maintenance of my inside plumbing to see if there were any problems! Definitely would recommend this Company, their pricing for service is very comparative to other Plumbing type companies."

"Johnny on the Spot is an awesome company! I scheduled a consultation online and someone called me immediately. James Cox, the technician who came out, quoted us an awesome price for 2 new 16 SEER units. He even gave us a good 0% financing rate for 2 years. We got 5 quotes and I have to say that this company gave us the best dollar for dollar deal for the units and the service maintenance / warranty agreement. Our new units are now installed and it all happened a week after we signed the contract! Our installers Andrew Susterka and Hector Samayoa were also very professional and great! If you need a new system or service your current system, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!"

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

There are a few possible sump pump drainage locations, including a neighborhood storm drain, into a creek or pond, or underground. Don’t let your sump pump water go into your sewer or septic system. Ideally, your drainage spot should be on a downhill slope that’s at least 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. Before choosing a location, check your local codes and regulations.

Sump pumps remove excess water from the lowest point of your home, which prevents flooding. When a sump pit fills with water, a sump pump pushes that water outside of the basin and into an exterior discharge pipe. From there, the water flows away from your home, so it doesn’t damage your foundation.

Almost any kind of home can have a wine cellar or cabinet installed. You’ll need an area where a concrete floor can be put in, along with the necessary insulation, climate control, and ventilation systems. If you think of yourself as an aspiring sommelier, an underground wine cellar may be ideal, but it will cost significantly more.

What you choose to install really depends on your budget and how many bottles you’re looking to store.

A sump pump can be added to an existing basement. To do this, you will need to use a jackhammer or sledgehammer to break up the concrete and dig a pit. You will also need to create a hole in your basement wall to run the discharge pipe through.

A sump pump is one of the most common ways to get excess moisture out of your home, but it’s not the only way. If your home doesn't have a sump pump, other options to get excess water out of the basement include trash pumps, submersible pumps, service pumps, and hand-crank pumps. However, it’s worth calling a pro in to assess your situation and potentially install a sump pump for you.
