Panasonic, the solar panel manufacturer , also warranties that at 25 years after installation, (presumably several house owners later, the panels will continue to produce >90% of electricity as day 1. If we assume that electric rates increase 5% per year, I shall break even after 7 years. If we assume no rate increase, I shall break even after 9.3 years."
