"Judd did a good job and a huge crew was on-site within days of hiring them. They did major dirtwork, installed an irrigation system, pavers, edging, rock, and roughly an acre of sod. We were pleased with the results."

"Fantastic. The crew showed up on time and worked hard for 4 days. They were extremely professional, they did everything they promised and more, and in the end, the irrigation system turned out to be great. It was not an easy project because the home had a older system that was a mess. I will hire this company the next time I need ANY landscaping work."

"Jorge always showed up on time. For the estimate, he told me exactly what he would do with each tree and bush. He and one other guy did a great job with the work, and they removed all of the debris. After he was done, we walked through so he could make sure that I was happy with each tree. He also matched my lowest bid. So, in summary, J&C did great work, on time, and for a good price. Highly recommended."

Lawn Irrigation questions, answered by experts

Properly secured bird netting is the best option to cover your grass seed with. It creates a minor moisture barrier that can help seeds sprout, and it’s a great way to keep birds away from your seeds. A cheaper, lower-maintenance option is hay or mulch, but these can change the look of your lawn and require cleanup in the case of straw.

Water the lawn thoroughly, apply fertilizer, and overseed if necessary to promote healthy growth.

Too much clover in your lawn can indicate several issues with your soil. Clover can thrive in soils with abnormally high pH, low-cut grass, and low nitrogen. Amending these issues can push clover out for good.

Hardy perennial clover loves the low nitrogen and compact conditions that often come with poor, infertile soils. But other factors also contribute to a clover explosion, including drought conditions, cool temperatures, under fertilization, and over-irrigation. You’ll need to evaluate all these elements when planning to kill off the clover.

One of the most effective ways to improve lawn absorption is to learn how to aerate your lawn. This is a process where you poke tiny holes all throughout it to break up tough soil and sediment, creating pathways for sunlight, water, air, and nutrients to seep into the plant’s roots. In turn, it promotes stronger root systems, making your lawn or plants less susceptible to pests and disease. Ideally, you’ll want to aerate your lawn at least once per year during the growing season—think late summer to early fall.

Yes, some grass will germinate in two weeks or less but it will take several weeks more before it is established enough to walk (or nap) on. To grow grass quickly, follow the tried-and-true-steps carefully, starting with choosing a cool- or warm-season grass seed that flourishes in your home’s climate.
