Emergency services offered

"Overall got the services taken care of. After hiring was looking forward to my service. The young lady that arrived was very young was a little conservative but I decided to see how things would turn out. I expected more in my opinion for a deep clean. Some things were missed so when she left I did let the company know they attempted to send her back to fix the issues missed but we had already left the house. Then they asked me how to fix the issue since they couldn?t send her back we ended up agreeing on her returning on another day. She came back and she did fix the issues we spoke about. If she couldn?t return they didn?t offer to take off any money. They kept professionalism but I would have preferred to not have to schedule another day for a return clean just because of the current situation (sick family member)."

Garage Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

The best method for painting a garage door depends on the door's design and the finish you want to achieve. For the most professional-looking finish, especially on doors with panels or intricate details, a paint sprayer is an excellent choice. It can easily get into hard-to-reach places and provide a smooth, even coat.

If you don't have a sprayer, or if your door is flat, a combination of a roller and a brush is the most effective approach. Use a roller for the large, flat sections to cover the area quickly and efficiently. For the best results, experts recommend a roller with a nap between ⅜ and ¾ inches thick; natural fibers can also help ensure an even coat.

A brush is essential for handling the finer details. Use it to paint grooves, angles, small panels, and the edges of the door where you need more control.

Regardless of the tools you use, it's a good idea to step back after the main application to review your work and use a detail brush to touch up any missed spots.

The cost to paint a garage door is usually $1 to $4 per square foot, which translates to around $120 to $500 for the average two-car garage door. This relatively low-cost painting project can greatly impact your home’s look and curb appeal, and you can save a good deal of money by doing it yourself.

There should not be any visible gaps between the garage door and frame. If the gap is big enough that you can either see daylight or feel a draft, this indicates a problem. Bring in a garage door professional to help you discover why the gap exists. A pro may also be able to offer suggestions for how to insulate a garage.

In some cases, a detached garage can be considered extra living space, but you will need to gain permission and comply with your local building code. Depending on where you live, you may need permits for a variety of installations, including electrical work, plumbing, and structural work. Many homeowners make the mistake of converting a garage into a living space without acquiring permits, which can result in hefty fines and even the removal of your hard work. Furthermore, a detached garage doesn’t add to the livable square footage of your home when it’s time to sell.

The average cost to install a new garage door is around $1,224, with most homeowners paying between $755 and $1,696. However, the total price can range from $250 to as high as $4,500 depending on several factors. Key cost drivers include the door's size, type, style, and material. For instance, wood or wood composite doors are typically more expensive than vinyl or aluminum options. Insulation also affects the price. Labor costs are often bundled into the total price, but if billed separately, can range from $200 to $500. Due to the complexity and danger, professional installation is recommended.
