"At times, it was like 5 people and other times too. They would spend like half a day, they would come up at sunrise just around 7:00, it was still very cold then. They would stay to about 11:30 or so, or 12:00, and it was good because we didn't feel like they were encroaching on our being able to get out and do our stuff.

They did a very fine job and every day they did a certain part of it and a certain part of it and got done very quickly. I was very happy with what they did. I think it was a week or two. They did a very, very fine job and everything was done very well.

I think the price was very fair and right for what he did. We had about 4 or 5 come and give us estimates. It was as much as 10,000 and something dollars was one of them. They went down to like $2,000 or something, $3,000. We were in the middle with them.

They took the rock we had, got the cement off of it and stuff and replaced it again with the rock and they brought some more in. They were an excellent company. I couldn?t speak any higher than what I said about them. They are just very, very good and I would not hesitate to use them again.

They told me when they were going to come and they did have a little bit of a set back with another family they were working with. They were very fair and they let me know ahead of time, so I could call the neighbor to tell them when they were coming. It was very well done and we were very impressed. "

"Everything done quickly and as promised. Love having the control in my house and hooked up to electricity so I don't have to think about it. My yard guy keeps cutting the heads and they have fixed that quickly as well."

"Prompt service. Jacob (outstanding customer service) gave the estimate one morning and the repair was done the next day. Jesus, the craftsman, was thorough and removed all the construction debris from the roof repair."

"MAK roofing did a nice and clean job, Mr. Vizarreta's workers were quick and worked cleanly.
My mother was very happy with how clean they left the grounds after each day of work and ultimately after the work was completed.
Mr. Vizarreta sent me pictures throughout the day each day to show the progress of the job since I couldn't actually be there while the job was in process.
I felt the pricing was fair and feel like I paid good money for good work, which I think is all anyone is looking for when it comes to having work done.
Mr. Vizarreta was always a phone call away if I had a question, and I feel took very good care of us as customers and was respectful of my mother's home.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend MAK Roofing to anyone I know.
They were prompt, and even finished a little sooner than the estimated time of completion, not to mention they even worked on the 4th of July!
I'm happy to say I had a great experience using MAK Roofing,

Paving Services questions, answered by experts

A 500-square-foot driveway can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $35,000, depending on the type of pavers you choose. Grass and concrete pavers are more affordable, while stone and cobblestone pavers are on the higher end of that price range. You’ll save some money by DIYing the installation, though we highly recommend sticking with a professional for this type of driveway installation.

The recommended minimum amount for a paver base is 4 inches. From there, it depends on the kind of traffic the pavers will see and the current soil conditions. Two inches of paver base won’t create the amount of stability and support that pavers need to remain securely in place over time.

To ensure you hire a reliable and experienced paving company, you should start by finding companies in your area that have at least five to ten years of experience working in your neighborhood. Next, rule out companies with poor reviews online or a series of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Since driveways affect your curb appeal, you should also ask each company for references and pictures of recent work to make sure the work the company does is professional and high quality. Finally, check that the company is licensed and insured.

Asphalt and tarmac are not the same thing. Traditional tarmac, short for tarmacadam, uses tar as a binder to hold crushed stone together. Asphalt uses bitumen—a byproduct of crude oil—to bind aggregate. Though tarmac was once a go-to for roads, asphalt has become the modern standard. And these days, most surfaces referred to as “tarmac” are actually asphalt. So, while the names may overlap, the key distinction lies in the binder—tar for tarmac and bitumen for asphalt.

Yes, it is possible to pave over an existing driveway, but whether it's the right choice depends on several factors. If the underlying structure of your current driveway is still strong, concrete or asphalt resurfacing can be a cost-effective way to prolong its life. However, if your driveway has significant issues like potholes, deep cracks, or other inconsistencies, it is best to remove the old driveway and start from scratch. Key factors to consider include the current driveway's condition, the compatibility of the new material, the added thickness and height, and the necessary surface preparation.
