"The guy is wonderful, friendly, professional, and very reasonably priced. He cleaned my dryer vent which was completely blocked (by previous owners of my house) and he cleaned to evap cooler vents which were snowing mineral crystals all over my sofa (again previous owners left it in that condition). "We had two pellet stove chimneys cleaned for the first time since installation. The guys laid down mats over our hardwood floors, pulled the stove out and got the chimney and stove cleaned out within 30 minutes. The second, smaller stove was done within 20 minutes if that long. Be sure to dispose of hot ashes in a closed metal container; store it outside, away from the house. Only use the pellets recommended by your stove's manufacturer, and follow any cleaning and maintenance instructions.

The short answer is yes, but the longer answer is more complex. Unless the fireplace is ventless by design, you’ll need some type of exhaust pipe system to safely send fumes and other harmful byproducts out of the house. Even then, ventless fireplaces are not always permitted because they do keep the byproducts inside of your house. Ventless fireplaces are safest when installed in spaces that are themselves well-ventilated, like large rooms with lots of windows.

To burn garden waste, you can use a dug-out burn pit lined with stone or brick, a burn barrel, or a garden incinerator. If using a burn barrel, make sure it's made entirely of metal and properly equipped with screened vents and a metal top screen. Garden incinerators are designed for waste burning and should be operated according to the manufacturer's instructions.
