"I am incredibly happy and grateful for the gorgeous job Hector Borges and his team did on painting the total interior of my new home. Hector was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping me find the exact color I needed to blend with my dark tiled floors. Hector is amazing when it comes to small details and takes great pride in completing a professional job. I am looking forward and definitely will be hiring Hector and his team to paint the exterior of my home in February. I am highly recommending Hector and his team to everyone that wants a quality job in the future."

"It was a shaky start with some unforeseen obstacles. However, after things settled down Bill got to work and met the deadline that I had originally set. The paint came out great. I needed 2 living rooms and a dining room painted, along with the ceilings in each room. They were able to complete everything in the timeframe given, even after my wife changed her mind on the one of the walls that had already been painted. I had movers coming the next day and Bill even offered to come back the day after the movers to fix any scuffs or scratches that occurred. If you are looking for a great finished paint job hire Bill."

"

We had to postpone a couple of days due to the freezing weather early January. I wasn't home the first afternoon they came but was impressed there was no mess or other evidence they had been there, just the first layer of cement in the places needed. I was home  the second day they came and they laid down protective tarps in all the area's where they were working.  The crew of four knew what they were doing and were very fast and efficient. They covered the cement with the first stucco layer and were gone before I realized they were done the color nearly matched and I was impressed.  It turned out they had missed one crack, and when I let Alvaro know, they fixed it while working on the other areas.  The third day they finished up and painted the repairs to match the original stucco perfectly.  They provided a one year warrantee on workmanship and labor, which was important to me because of the time of year we were making the repairs.  I was very impressed and I literally cannot tell where the repairs were made. The finish matches perfectly.  I would highly recommend BluSky.

"A great company! Adolfo, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. They were completely professional throughout the project, always on time or early, were willing to work Saturdays to get the job done and most importantly willingly worked with my wife on additional little projects that added to the overall appearance of our home. I will hire them again when I need a team of professionals that believe in excellence in everything they do."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

The list of what removes caulk residue includes rubbing alcohol. In some cases, rubbing alcohol can also help remove water-based caulk. However, old caulk or caulk that’s in layers from years of upkeep and projects might prove to be too much for simple rubbing alcohol and may require a caulk-removing solution from a home improvement store.

Most spray paints are oil-based, meaning you will need a solvent to dissolve them, like paint thinner, lacquer thinner, or acetone. While solvents can be useful in removing paint, they are also very flammable and require the use of a respirator. Beyond that, these products may smear paint and cannot be used on all surfaces.

Sometimes you can get away with simply sanding and painting over small areas of peeling paint. However, the problem will likely return quickly, and the ridge between old and new paint will be visible. If you just need a quick fix and won't worry about appearance, chip away the peeling paint as much as possible, prime and paint the area, and skip the spackle step.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

The best and fastest way to remove paint from a deck often involves combining a chemical stripper with a pressure washer. Gel-based paint strippers are highly recommended because their thick consistency makes them less messy and easier to apply than liquid strippers. After applying the stripper to loosen the paint, you can use a pressure washer to efficiently wash away the residue. When using a pressure washer for this task, it's important to use a low pressure (under 1000 PSI) to avoid forcing too much moisture into the wood, which could lead to mildew or rot.
