Painters should prep, chaulk and other necessary steps to paint a house. This woman acts like a know it all and trashes other painters. I would never ever have anyone like that again.

"I am Cheryl the owner of spotted horse painting and painter. I never did work for this lady. I remember a lady that gave me bad revues and contacted the BBB about 3 years ago. BBB investigated and found no wrong doing on my side. I had pictures to proof my work and a statement from her for an excellent job done. 10 month after finishing the work she needed some touch up. I told her to buy the paint and I do the touch up for free. She said I have to furnish the paint - I told her no and the bad revues started all over the internet.( Ripoff ,com is one of them and Toxic forum - Alamogordo News paper ) Her name is [member name removed] from La Luz, NM . She works on computers and earns her money with the internet."

The window looks nice and neat but I failed to ask that the edges be painted. That could have been suggested in order to make the panes mpre secure.

The owner, Cheryl Ackerley, did a good job. She responded quickly to my request for a bid, and completed the work in a reasonable time. This fence is something like a highway guard rail, with lots of pipes and some sheet metal attached to them. She painted the fence with Rustoleum, including two coats in some places, and it is now shiny white and looks like new. This is a one-person business, so she has to fit in your job with all the others she is doing, but my job got done within a few days anyway.

We had used Spotted Horse Painting earlier this spring and I was very pleased with the exterior she had done. I am very picky with the way caulking is handled and her attention to smoothness and being very through was perfect. Needless to say, I am just as happy with the interior job.

We bought a old house and she helped us fix it up so we could live in it. The house appraised for more than what we paid after she did the work.

I am posting this as a warning for people that would use this business, beware. I have called the district attorney's office and am filing a police report for fraud as well as taking civil action against this woman. She started this work around 3/2010. When someone professes to be a painter and licensed handy woman, you chalk the appropriate seamed areas on a mobile home and do the proper prep work. This was not done...the excuse -- the mobile home moves. This mobile home is on a permanent foundation and some of the seams are starting to split pulling the paint away since it was not caulked. I requested that she take care of the problem, and she walked away. I explained I was going to call the district attorney, she laughed and say go ahead, I don't have anything. When I explained that if the appropriate chalking was used it gives way to movement. I called the paint store for confirmation. She also mixed her old personal paint on her property that has been stored for a long time with the paint she got from the paint store to save money. She does not report cash receipts to play poor and not pay taxes. She has told me this herself, so this is not hearsay. She does very shabby awful work. Most would call it "rigging" as most people don't realize what she does nor do they pay attention She has admitted to me that she gets cash from her work and hides it in her mobile home so she doesn't have to pay taxes. I paid this woman $1300. $300 was a bonus as I didn't know what was going to be what it looks like know. I should have paid more attention on her putting everyone else down and never taking responsibility for her actions. It's always someone else to fault or to blame. She lives like a pig in her home it is horrendous. I will never step in that dump again. Shame on me. There have been numerous Tularosa police reports filed on her on the conditions of the animals she keep on her property. This I have witnessed myself . This is all factual witnessed by me. I should have realized the way she lives is what her work is. Shame on me for not getting a receipt, however I have been emailing her for weeks to get her to look at this and she lies stating she has been at my house, and she has not. I have stated the amount of money I paid her in the emails trying to get her out here to even look at the property. I have pictures of her actually painting..date stamped. I will post this on every complaint board on the internet I can find. If this woman would have fixed the problem, there would be no issue. Next step IRS. Sheriff deputy came out and made the remark it was shabby work. If you want to see the pictures go to www. Ripoffreport.com.

"I talked with the manager of the store and she told me miss Borderick called and asked about materials she would need to paint her mobil home. Caren told her the top materials and at the end of the conversation miss Borderick said I had some one paint my trailer so they used the wrong materials I used siliconized caulking after I renailed and screwed down some of the sideing on the south and west side of the home then I brushed of all the loose debree - could not power wash the sideing was in very bad shape - I then used oilbased A100 Primer and A 100 flat for the walls and satin for the trim. I installed the skirting with some help from her, she primed the skirting with water based primer and I painted with A100. I also preped and painted both sheds - a attached for the motor cicle and an unattached - for no extra charge. She was supposed to give me support with my computer questions. Thank you Cheryl Ackerley Spotted Horse Painting Please view the photos of the mobile home on my profile"
