Our area does not get much rain - but I have had leaks from the roof ever since it was installed. I have contacted contractor regarding leaks and he has come out on three occasions to tar, caulk, etc. Roof still leaks. My issue with contractor currently is that he has not followed up with me during an abnormally wet season for us, to find out if leak repair has been successful. The wind recently blew off several shingles, and I have made an insurance claim. The insurance adjuster questioned whether the nails used by contractor, when stacking shingles, were long enough. My husband and I bought a property that had previously had a roof leak. Our realtor told us it had been fixed by atencio, but shortly after the purchase of the home it was leaking in the same spot again. So, once again Atencio was hired to fix the roof leak. We were not at the house at the time of service, but were told it was fixed, and the service was paid for. Months of no rain, and then a storm hit. I bet you can guess what happened... the roof was leaking once again in the very same spot!!! We immediatly called Atencio, because they were the ones that has done the work to fix it. It was apparent that the work had either not been done or was not done correctly. The man we spoke with was rude and told us that they had patched our roof and that it was probably leaking elsewhere.... then he told us there were no guaruntees with a patch. It was not leaking from elsewhere... IT WAS THE SAME SPOT! Also, they had just done the work a couple months prior... I would expect a patch to last more than 2 months. Then when we told him we wanted someone to come out and check it... he blew us off! Terrible service in everyway. Needless to say, we called another roofer to come do the work this time around. When the new roofer went up to check out the leaky area, he told us that there was no evidence that anyone had fixed anyleak up there at all. We now had to pay another roofer to fix the work that was supposed to have been done aready. So basically, they were paid for work they never even did, then treated us poorly. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nm/farmington/atencio-roofing-reviews-5101706.htm"},"position":10}]}

Installation of new roof was the result of getting three bids. Contractor pretty much showed up when he said he would. I made the mistake of allowing him to stack shingles on top of old - I do not recommend doing this now and will never do it again. Our area does not get much rain - but...

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Farmington, NM
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
