"We're very happy and relieved to have the old deck gone, in short time and for a reasonable price.
Phil and 2 men showed up just as planned.  We had talked beforehand via Angie's messaging about details.  Confirmed again after their arrival.   The job took  about 3 hours on site.
The guys jumped right in and worked efficiently, thoughtfully, and carefully.  There was no collateral damage during the removal of the 200 square foot deck, in spite of a concrete patio just below.  The old pressure-treated wood couldn't stand up to NM sun and the former residents' dogs?and it had become a great spider habitat  and leaf/trash catcher.
The old wood couldn't be burned, had too many screws to salvage without doubling the costs, so Phil and his crew cut it up into pallet-sized chunks - too heavy to recycle into pallets sadly.  They hauled it all to the landfill.
Phil answered my questions about what had gone wrong with the original install (someone else's), and was very generous with his knowledge, and didn't shy away from telling me what I needed next.
One minor problem:  there was lots of dirt, junk, etc. under the old deck that I had specifically asked to be bagged.  Trying to be extra helpful, they put it directly into my compost bins - junk included.

"Yul was great. He was friendly, communicated clearly and effectively, and came when he said he was going to. He took care of the job quickly and was very generous with his services. He had superb equipment for the job. I would definitely suggest him to anyone in the Taos County area looking for junk removal."

"The guys scraped and repaired all of the parapets around the roof edge, they removed and replaced an entire exterior wall surface, and fixed many cracks and chips all around the house. The stucco had weathered over the years and naturally started to crack and peel off. They did a wonderful job and for a very reasonable cost with 50% down for materials then 50% at job completion."

"I was texted the night I made my purchase and called the next day. They wanted to setup to start the following day, but I needed a week to get ready. They answered all my questions and showed up on time (7am) for both days it took to complete. Everyone was polite and did a good job. The roof debris was cleaned up nicely. Roof now is a gleaming white silicon layer. Now I'm waiting for a good storm to test out the new roof."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

By using PPE, sealing work areas, and following containment procedures.

Chlorine has a shelf life of between six months and several years, depending on its type and formulation. Liquid chlorine can often lose its effectiveness in just a few weeks. Pool owners can find themselves with overstock that they need to get rid of. The best way to dispose of excess chlorine is to take it to a hazardous waste collection site and let the pros handle it.

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

You may see specialty products for sale to remove lead dust, such as D-Lead surface wipes. But you do not need to buy a special cleaner just for lead dust. A regular all-purpose cleaner, like 409 or something similar, is sufficient for cleanup. Just make sure to follow the manufacturer's directions when using it and to dilute with water.
