"Joe and his crew were excellent workers! Joe was very personable, and very knowledgeable about his business. The lack of one more star was only because his syn lawn supplier provided him with the sample, the one I chose, that did not exactly match the turf they had sold to Joe. But the name of the syn lawn on the sample was the same as the syn lawn they sold to Joe. This was in no way Joe's fault. Joe spoke with the company. However, the turf had already been cut for our job. Joe and his crew did an excellent job and he will still return to make sure all is well."

"Performed numerous fix ups at my house..showed up on time, very polite with a can do attitude. Works fast And tidies everything. Multi talented.in a little more than ,,,3 hours, two guys cleaned out a very messy, congested garage, hung 2pivture, fixed 2 faucets that had no pressure, installed a light panel, a modern one to replace ugly, burnt out fluorescent tubes,, assembled two book cases and replaced a pantry light that had been flickering. When stored under ideal conditions, grass seed lasts anywhere from 10 to 18 months from the testing date without any real decrease in the germination rate. You can still use the seeds after this timeframe, but the germination rates drop 10% to 20% each year. 

If you’re just embarking on an overseeding project, using seeds that have been in storage for a few years isn’t too big of a deal. However, if you’re planning on redoing your entire landscape, your best bet for a healthy, luscious lawn is to use new seeds.

Although these terms sound similar and are sometimes used interchangeably, overseeding and reseeding your lawn are very different processes. Overseeding, the simpler of the two, involves a few steps to restore thinned or patchy grass by raking, aerating, and seeding uneven areas of turf to promote regrowth.

Reseeding a lawn is a more drastic and involved process, often necessary if the lawn is diseased, more than a third dead, or very overgrown with weeds. Unlike overseeding, it requires removing most of the existing lawn and starting a new one from scratch, a much bigger and more time-consuming job.

Grass will grow back after being sprayed with vinegar. If you’re looking for an alternative to chemical herbicides, vinegar can help you manage weeds. Use a mixture of 1 gallon of white vinegar, 1 cup of salt, and 1 tablespoon of dish soap to spray on your grass. This will kill the grass at the surface while keeping the roots intact, so it’ll eventually grow back. You’ll need to use an herbicide or manually remove the whole root system to get rid of grass for good.

Having a luscious lawn won’t take a century to grow with hydroseeding—most hydroseed lawns sprout within 7 to 14 days. Once the new grass is about 4 inches tall, which is about six weeks after the installation, it’s ready to mow. After the initial mow, keep foot traffic at a minimum for another four weeks to solidify the rooting system.

In the fall, you should aerate the soil, overseed the bare spots, kill weeds, mow the lawn low, and rake your leaves. By boosting your lawn’s health in the fall, your grass will be stronger throughout the winter and come back healthier in the spring. You should also trim your perennials so that they withstand the winter and are ready for new growth in the spring.
