"Terrific. They showed up on time and ready to work. Marty showed them exactly where the gutters should go and where the rain barrels go. They got right to work and were finished in just a couple of hours. Very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. The gutters are doing a great job and our yard loves the directed water. They even removed an old satellite dish that was improperly installed and in the way."

"

About half of our kitchen and half of the utility room had become bowed by water leaking under the floor from a water heater.  We discovered the water heater leak and replaced it, but were not aware of the extent of the problem. No one wanted the job!  It wasn't big enough for them. Ramon Acosta of D&R Services determined the extent of the damage and gave us a fair estimate. His team obtained the floor covering we selected and did a beautiful job of putting it down covering both affected rooms after replacing the floor itself.  There was also damage to a door jam that required additional structural work, which they also handled. They cleaned everything up and left nothing for us to have to do ourselves.

"They made the appointment. They showed up on time. They came out, took a look, came back and finished the job. It came out pretty good. I guess I didn't realize that it wasn't going to add a little bit of stain or color. It still looks somewhat weathered but they did do the treatment and it definitely did help. We probably would use them again."

"Called KASE and made appointment with Erin to have Kevin come out for an estimate. While Kevin was looking at the job, I mentioned I needed a project that would stay in my budget and he volunteered that one way might be for him to provide labor only and I would provide all the material. He would guide me, but I'd make the purchases. This is what we did. I had guests coming for the Balloon Fiesta and made it clear that I needed the work to be done before they arrived. We agreed on a deal and signed a contract and the work began. While several workers were on the job at one time or another, craftsman Oscar was the lead and he is very talented in several areas. The biggest work done was tile ... we had new tile floor and walls (including shower) done. A new tub was installed, shower enclosure, wallpaper removed and walls textured and painted, new light fixtures and mirrors hung. Everyday at the assigned time, the workers were there working. And they did a nice job cleaning at the end of each shift -- leaving the place in decent shape. I provided about $4,000 worth of material from Lowe's and Home Depot and tile from ASI. Having had a poor experience with a kitchen remodel 2 years ago, I was VERY happy and satisfied with this project. And did I mentioned, the project was completed 3 days ahead of my deadline! Kevin and Erin (and Oscar) really performed and I will recommend them highly. Besides what's here on Angie's List, I've told Kevin he can have prospective customers call me as a reference."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install or replace gutters is around $2,000, with typical project costs ranging from $900 to $7,000. Most companies charge between $4 and $30 per linear foot. The total price depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the complexity of its footprint, the gutter material (e.g., vinyl, metal), and the gutter style (e.g., half-round, custom-built). Additional elements like downspouts, corners, and optional add-ons like gutter guards can also increase the price. The condition of your roof is another consideration, as new gutters cannot be installed on a rotting or sloping roof. While it can be an expensive upfront cost, new gutters are a worthwhile, long-lasting investment for protecting your home's exterior. You can save up to half on labor costs by installing them yourself.

The duration of a repair job can range from a few hours to several days. Simpler issues may take 1-4 hours, while more complex work or extensive damage could take 1-3 days. The final timeline depends on the complexity of the problem, the extent of the damage, and the location of the work.

Downspouts channel water from your roof and gutters into the ground following a specific route so water doesn’t accumulate around your house’s foundation. Without a downspout, the standing water will wash away material and disrupt the soil, leading to foundation erosion. The standing water will also form ice around your house during cold weather, causing a safety hazard.

Costs depend on gutter length, damage severity, and labor rates.

Yes. Excessive pitch in gutters can cause water to flow too rapidly, leading to a decrease in the gutter's water-holding capacity; consequently, during heavy rainstorms, water may awkwardly splash outside the gutters. Ideally, you should aim for a quarter-inch of gutter slope for every 10 feet of gutter run. However, it's important to note that this guideline may vary depending on your home's structure and the type of gutters being installed.
