About half of our kitchen and half of the utility room had become bowed by water leaking under the floor from a water heater.  We discovered the water heater leak and replaced it, but were not aware of the extent of the problem. No one wanted the job!  It wasn't big enough for them. Ramon Acosta of D&R Services determined the extent of the damage and gave us a fair estimate. His team obtained the floor covering we selected and did a beautiful job of putting it down covering both affected rooms after replacing the floor itself.  There was also damage to a door jam that required additional structural work, which they also handled. They cleaned everything up and left nothing for us to have to do ourselves.

"Overall it went well. We had a few date/day changes that worked out though I stress when I need to adjust my work schedule. I work full time and have learned that I need to be on -site when work is done by independents. I also have 3 dogs that need to be managed. As a widowed and single older person, I feel a bit more protective of my space and security both during and in the future. Phillip is quite Jovial - nice 'good ol boy' affect from Texas. Very casual. I went ahead and had the work done on outside Gazebo (More an open Ramada) that got attached to existing structure so we'll see how that goes. I prefer more detailed specifications on the build. I won't use him for additional structures attached to my home until I'm retired. I could attached a photo if my son helps me but not at this time. Want to say he di modify the slatting on top to preserve existing vines as requested. Very Happy about that spec. treatment."

"Kevin picked up on our massive remodel/addition project as the general contractor/project manager after our previous general contractor quit in an acrimonious manner and my partner subsequently suffered a massive & debilitating stroke.  Kase Construction picked up the job in August and after consulting with the village building inspector determined what of the previous work needed to be corrected & how to do it in the most cost effective way. They began the bulk of their work in September.   Kevin & crew worked with with a couple of the already established subcontractors, integrating their work into the suddenly bustling construction site.  

The project moved more quickly toward completion in the four months they worked on it than it had under the previous general contractor in the preceding year.  Our goal had been to have the house certified for occupancy by Christmas of 2010.  In the last month of work the construction site functioned like an episode of Extreme Home Makeover.  The crew was professional, worked long hours, and did amazing work.  Kevin was consistently up front with us about the progress, challenges and budgetary issues, always suggesting creative alternatives when we couldn't see how to get through everything.  Throughout, the crew foreman, Ray, rode herd on the workers and kept a really clean & safe work site.  As promised, we got the certificate of occupancy in time to move in for Christmas!  We're so happy with our new home and eternally grateful to Kevin Roady & Kase Construction for making it happen."
