"I had a great experience with HB Remodeling, owned by Hector Borges. Hector handled the stucco repair on our home after a plumber had previously opened up the wall for their work. The areas were already cut out, and Hector came in and restored the stucco beautifully. The texture match is excellent, and even though the paint was still wet in the photos, you can already tell that once it fully dries it will blend seamlessly with the existing wall. The finish looks clean, smooth, and professionally done. Hector was punctual, professional, and clearly takes pride in his craftsmanship. He focused on making sure the stucco repair was done properly and matched the surrounding surface as closely as possible. If you need quality stucco repair from someone who truly cares about the final result, I highly recommend HB Remodeling and Hector Borges. Definitely a 5-star experience!"

"Austin was prompt and thorough. I was well pleased with his work and attention to detail. Will most certainly recommend “Unique Roofing” on our community bulletin board."

"Excellent work and we are highly satisfied. Adolf, owner, promptly returned our call and reviewed the job we needed done which was to RE-stucco our 22 year old home. He was very professional, took the time to explain the differences (pros/cons) between stucco material, and what work his business could provide along with a timeframe. He immediately provided an itemized bid and we agreed upon a price and schedule. He always arrived on-time, had amazing attention to details, provided superior clean up at the end of the day and project, and completed the work on time. I also appreciated Adolf for returning my calls the same day. The work was completed just as we wanted and we couldn’t be happier."

"Jaime was quick to respond to my request for service repair and sent someone out the next morning to fix the whole in my stucco left after a plumbing repair. I was afraid I was going to have to diy it, but Jaime sent a craftmaster and he went above and beyond what I was expecting. The job was exceptionally done, and I will undoubtedly hire Jaime's team in the future for more work on my home."

"Several things I seek from someone I hire for services are, that they are responsible and show up on time and on the date they commit themselves to and that they finish the project on time, that they do a good job, inform me of the pros and cons and possible needed things and that the price is fair. Also, that they are professional and courteous. I felt that this company met most of not all my expectations"

"They reached out fairly quickly and came to see the project the following day. They had great customer service skills in listening to what we wanted for the project and have allowed us some thinking time to process it before giving them answer. We truly appreciate it the great customer service and will be in touch!"

"

I was in my 7 day option period on a house I was buying. My home inspection determined there were roof deficiencies and the roofer I had previously booked cancelled last minute (on day 6 of my option period!) I called Q Construction and they sent someone out the very next day to assess the damage on the roof. Within 24 hours they had a full report and recommendations of all deficiencies and potential deficiencies. This may not be the norm but I really feel that the company went out of their way to accommodate my request. Marcos and David were true professionals! Marcos was actually just driving in from an out of town roofers' convention and after an 8 hour drive, he went straight to the house and started working.  The seller repaired the roof with his own roofer so Q Construction did not actually do any handy-work for me but he did go back into the house for a re-inspection to ensure the fixes were made correctly.  I hope not to need any roof repairs on my new house but if I do I will definitely be calling this company.

Stucco questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for small cracks or patches. Professional services ensure proper texture and color matching.

The length of time shouldn’t matter much if you stick with lightweight Christmas lights and similar decorations. Those shouldn’t pose risks to your stucco. You should avoid attaching anything to your stucco that could fall because it’s too heavy, which may take part of the stucco with it. Some methods, like using double-sided tape or adhesive hooks, will naturally wear out over time and lead to falling lights, so don’t expect to leave these lights up year-round.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

The best way to assess that your stucco needs repair is to inspect it, both visually and physically. If you notice cracks, chips, or staining, that’s a good indication that your stucco could use some TLC by a professional. Additionally, if you touch an area that feels soft and has a little “give,” you should consider repairing it as soon as possible to avoid further damage, both to additional stucco spots and to your home’s structure.
