"It is going extraordinarily well.  They are doing it in as painless a way as possible, even though pain is involved of course.  They are being very supportive and doing the work with the greatest of expedience.  Ramon Acosta has an extraordinary eye for design and great overall view.  I am very happy with their work and am delighted to have found them.  I know that both my kitchen and bathroom will look wonderful when they're done.

"Purchased coupon on August 11, 2011.  Because I was remodeling my kitchen myself after work and weekends, I didn't have time to deal with the creating the room drafts, plans, layouts or measurements she required.  I did contact Jill and explain the situation and she was very understanding.  She said because I contacted her, not to worry about the deadline.  I remained in contact with her over the next few years (that's how long it took me) and when I was ready around the start of 2014, she worked hard to provide her new design.
A true professional and great person to work with.  The design was spot on and my wife and i were very impressed.  Thank you Jill.

Repair Bathroom Tile questions, answered by experts

Kitchen remodels are one of the most popular home renovations and for good reason. Many homeowners view the kitchen as the heart of the home and it’s where they welcome and entertain guests. Refreshing a bedroom requires a little paint and perhaps some fresh flooring, but kitchens often require a major renovation to be both functional and modern. From new appliances to updated countertops and backsplashes, or fresh floors and cabinets, there is no shortage of ways to refresh a kitchen to meet your needs and style preferences.

Most design projects take 2-6 weeks, depending on revisions and material selections.

Since contractors are often busy during spring, as they get requests for larger remodeling projects that require nicer weather, winter is the best time to remodel a bathroom. Finding an available contractor at this time of year is easier, as long as it’s after the holidays, and redoing a bathroom doesn’t require warm weather.

The cost of making a bathroom accessible can be $3,000 to $25,000, but you could spend as much as $50,000 building a brand-new ADA-compliant bathroom. Some bathroom accessibility upgrades to consider include:

  • Installing grab bars: $100–$500

  • Lowering cabinets and vanities: $1,200–$2,500

  • Installing modified doors: $700–$1,500

  • Installing a modified toilet: $400–$1,000

  • Installing an accessible sink and faucet: $100–$1,000

  • Adding a walk-in tub: $1,100–$17,000

  • Converting a bathtub into a walk-in tub: $350–$1,000

  • Installing a wheelchair-accessible shower: $2,000–$7,500

  • Installing a shower ramp: $16–$300

Whether it’s better to add a bathroom to an upstairs or downstairs floor will depend on the home’s layout and your needs. Powder rooms and guest bathrooms are commonly on lower levels, while primary bathrooms are upstairs. When deciding, consider where the bedrooms are located and where your family spends the most time. If you don't have a bathroom in the basement but use the space, adding a bathroom there could be a great option.
