"Juan was very prompt with communications and arriving at my home. He came two days, one to set the tile and the next for grout. He measured the field and centered the tiles precisely. Tiles are set perfectly and grouted neatly."

"This is a family run business. They arrived on time and were great to work with, cleaning my bathroom of all evidence of hard water and even the glass on the shower door looks new. They worked really hard for hours in a confined space during the hot weather. They missed a couple of tiny spots and came back the next day to fix them. Highly recommended!"

"James was professional and understood my many issues. He was removing severe grout haze. While he was working on my patio tile, he noticed the the previous tile person was sloppy. He left bumps and smears of the grout stuck on many, many tiles. One section that other tile person did not even use grout! He used other material and it was already cracking. James showed and talked to me about every issue. James is reasonable with his cost and was concerned for the state of my tile from a poor tile idiot who ripped me off and did not complete the job. I would give James ten stars and would recommend him to all clients that need tile work! Thank you James for the great work!"

Grout Tile Cleaners questions, answered by experts

Sanded grout contains particles of sand, making the grout more resistant to cracking. This durability makes sanded grout well suited for tile floors. It is also less prone to thinning out and forming bubbles when it cures, so you can spread it into larger joints.

Unsanded grout is much smoother, so you will want to use it when working with tile made from glass or polished stone. Any sand could leave scratches on the tile’s surface. The lack of sand also makes unsanded grout thinner, making it best for tile joints that are less than one-eighth-inch thick.

In almost all cases, yes. Most grout is cement-based, meaning it’s highly porous and susceptible to mold, mildew, and grimy deposits. Grout sealer is a crucial step if you’re looking to preserve the look and structural integrity of these types of grout. However, some types of grout—such as epoxy-based grouts—are not porous and do not need to be sealed.

Whether you tip before or after a carpet cleaning depends on when you’re available. If you’re home when they finish up, you can give them their tip after. However, if you need to leave before they’re done or if you won’t be home at all, you can prepare the tip beforehand and leave it for them in an envelope.

Cleaning typically takes 1-3 hours, depending on the area size and dirt buildup.

You can definitely regrout your backsplash without removing the tile. Much like regrouting a tile floor, you’ll have to remove the original grout carefully with a grout removal blade on a multi-tool or a dremel tool, being careful not to damage the surrounding tile. To get all of the grout, you’ll probably have to use a utility knife to get any stubborn pieces. Once the grout is removed, you can clean the area thoroughly and then add your new grout.
