"We hired Century Masonry & Waterproofing several years ago after suffering through several flooded basements. At a time when some contractors are out there trying to sell unnecessary services and products, Sean is an honest, consultative, helpful professional. He was able to identify problems with our existing sump pit and corrected them. He also identified the fact that the sump pit was not in the lowest point of our foundation and installed a second sump pit and pump there. "Had a leak in a 70 yr. old chimney w/three flues. Interviewed several HomeAdvisor contractors and with his experience and approach chose Build, USA who proposed a plan of action to address the leak and serious problem of fireplace smoke backing into our family room. To upgrade the chimney - old, damaged bricks were replaced w/o disturbing surrounding mortar. Then discovered the flues were too short: so flues, brick chimney & damper pull chains were lengthened and entire concrete crown replaced. The right size flue caps replaced. Copper flashing around chimney base replaced to extend over surrounding roof and sealed. Skylight flashing updated & secured. Chimney was hard brushed clean, waterproofed and guaranteed 25 years.
