The men that laid out on my job worked so hard. The labor was very strenuous but they never took a break. They were the most conscientious and polite workers I've ever dealt with. They worked neatly, cleaned up totally afterward, and just had a great deal of respect for our property. They really did a beautiful job and Ernest, the owner is a real gentleman also. "Very well. After I called Alan came over and gave us an estimate. Since it was reasonable in light of the other estimates we got, we hired him. His two-man crew arrived soon after and did everything that Alan and I had had agreed on. Although a little absent-minded at times, they were meticulous and reasonably careful. As the work progressed, we were impressed enough to extend the project to include other outside areas of the house. Where required they provided new screws to put back our downspouts and shutters. When the job ended one of his crew wire brushed several paint drips off our asphalt driveway and stone paver walkway. Good job!"

"My wife and I DO NOT use anyone who is not on Angie's List so we understand the importance of having accurate, fair reviews. We found Cary on Angie's List with overall great feedback on jobs he had done so we called him in for an estimate. Despite being very busy, he made the time to come over on a Saturday morning. He had previously dropped by and assessed the damage from the outside but needed to see it from the inside to ensure he could judge it accurately. After 15 minutes, our fears were realized and he said he would need to remove the cedar impression siding and remove the roof and replace it with a different system because the pitch wasn't steep enough. 
Within 48 hours, he provided a quote for his crew to come out and get the work done in a single day which was completely reasonable. He completed the work (guaranteed) as promised and left the site immaculate. He took pictures of the issue, of job progress and of the completed job. He mentioned he went around and filled some other issues he noticed while he was waiting for his crew to wrap up, no charge at all. He then discounted the quoted, agreed price 5% for angie's list deal I wasn't even aware of. Have you ever heard of a contractor accept less than an agreed price? Me neither.
Angie's List is a great resource for people to share experiences. I think the contractors who are honest and reasonable should be applauded too. We have been on the receiving end of some really lousy service so this was a new experience having someone do what they promised to do. Cary and his crew are the best in Monmouth County. We already have him pricing out finishing a storage space and will use him to build our deck in the spring. I cannot recommend Cary enough and you can reach me through Cary if you'd like to see his work firsthand.
