"Service was excellent; the arborists lived up to their name - friendly. The person who came out to quote the job was quick yet thorough and gave me some advice on some trees gratis (trees not part of the contract.) they arrived 30 minutes late - outside of a 12:00 to 2:00 window. But the quality work they did made up for that one glitch. I will definitely hire them again next time my trees beg for a clip and trim."

"We dealt with Frankie.  He came with his crew.  They were prompt, very professional, trimmed the bushes and trees beautifully, and did a remarkable job in cutting down the tree in the back, leaving the backyard and front lawn meticulously clean and groomed.  We highly recommend them.

"They did several things. The biggest takeaway is that this is professional establishment that gets the work done impeccably the first time around. The arborist is the real deal. It's not his side hustle. He only sent workers who respected me and my property. They made my middle income yard look like it belongs to homes three times the value. Nothing but a positive experience in every way."

"I would highly recommend Riccardi Tree Service. Frank Riccardi gave a very fair estimate and arranged for the work to be done quickly. The day the work was completed was extremely hot but that did not prevent Frank and his friendly crew from skillfully and efficiently removing the enormous tree from the yard. Many of the neighbors commented that they were also very impressed with the safe removal of the tree and the careful clean up afterward. They intend to use Riccardi Tree Service in the future. This is a family owned and operated business that is trustworthy and professional."

"Andreas and his employees tackled what was a very big job. The large tree sat too far in the back yard to be accessible by crane so the work had to be done by a single climber cutting the tree from top to bottom, piece by piece in what was very tight quarters. They took all the debris away and cleaned up the sawdust in our yard as well as the surrounding yards. This is a very professional, capable, and friendly company that I highly recommend."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Since summer is a busy time for tree companies, the cheapest time of year to remove a tree is during the winter. February and March are typically the prime time to hire a tree removal pro, and some homeowners living in colder climates can save around 20% off services. It depends on location and the company, but you can always shop around for the best deal.

Many species, especially when well-established, are not fans of transplantation. You’ll need to decide if you want to risk splashing the cash, understanding that transplantation isn’t always successful. Again, this is where hiring a pro is helpful, as they can give you all the essential info you need to ensure your tree stands a fighting chance.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Talking with a septic pro before planting trees near your tank is best to ensure the roots won’t interfere with your septic system. However, there is an easy way to figure out where to plant a tree—but you’ll need to know how tall it can get when it’s fully grown. For instance, if the tree can reach 50 feet, plant it at least 50 feet from your septic system.

Palm tree stumps can take as long as seven to ten years to rot naturally. Whereas some tree stumps rot within a year, palm trees tend to last longer due to their deep root networks. Chemical rotting (described above) can help speed the process up so your palm tree stumps rot in under two months.
