"Bob assured me up front that they do not dilute their coating as some others do. He was very careful in spreading and brushing out the sealer to be sure it was even and the edges were completely covered. There was no sealer left on the cement driveway aprons."

"John called me on Thursday after the review and made an appointment for the following Tuesday. John's nephew Ed called Monday evening and again Tuesday morning before coming. Ed was punctual and very professional as he explained every thing he was going to do. The job was perfect - even with the patches which he explained would be a little noticeable. The price was very reasonable as I had received estimates from others who were almost double the price. I would recommend Driveways Express to others."

"I was left with a half completed driveway by a shady contractor. After I realized the contractor I hired was no good I fired him. I contacted Asphalt Services and Michael came out saw my driveway and took mercy on me. He was awesome!! He know exactly how to fix and complete the work on my driveway. All of the people I dealt with at Asphalt Services were great the people in the office the workers that did the actual driveway and especially Michael. The price was also way better than the other contractors that gave me prices. Thank you everyone at Asphalt Services my driveway looks great and I am very happy!!"

We do NOT do new driveways. We do driveway sealcoating and line striping. We have the right equipment to do the job properly. We use a commercial grade products with sand mixture to give you a job that’s going to last and look amazing.

"They quickly made an appointment to do the job on a Saturday. Then they canceled the appointment because they, "ran out of the sealer for the driveway". They rescheduled for the next weekend but then canceled again because They said it was going to rain although no rain was forecast. They made the third appointment to come during the week, which they kept. They did an excellent job with resealing the driveway. It was a neat and thick coat of sealant. Unfortunately, the job cost an extra $150 over the $200 deal because of the larger square footage of my driveway (the deal was for 1000 ft.² only). Moral of the story is measure out your driveway size in order to estimate the real cost of the resealing project."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Driveway aprons typically range between four and seven inches thick, though your town's building codes will likely have specific requirements. Additionally, you may need to add a layer of permeable aggregate in the excavation below your paved apron to ensure proper stormwater drainage.

New asphalt goes through two stages: drying and curing. Drying typically takes 24 to 72 hours, after which the surface is solid enough for light use like walking or careful driving. While you may be able to park on it after 72 hours, the surface is still soft and should be treated gently. Full curing is a much longer process, taking anywhere from 30 days to a full year for the asphalt to reach maximum strength. During this extended curing period, the asphalt is susceptible to damage from heavy vehicles, sharp objects, and high temperatures. Factors like weather, the specific asphalt mix, and application thickness all influence drying and curing times. For the most accurate timeline and to ensure the longevity of your new asphalt, it is always best to consult with your installation contractor for their specific recommendations.

The average cost of 1,500 square feet of asphalt ranges from about $10,500 to $22,500, depending on location, thickness, base material, and how accessible the job site is to crews and equipment. Keep in mind that your asphalt material cost may vary depending on its type, ranging from porous asphalt to heated blacktop. Standard asphalt costs $7 to $13 per square foot.

Yes, with colored finishes and decorative stamping for a personalized touch.

Whether it's worth it to install a heated driveway depends on how often you'll use it, your lifestyle, and your budget. If you live in a mild climate with little snowfall, then installing a built-in heated driveway system may not be worth it. If you live in a region that experiences mild snowfall, then a portable mat could work better. However, if you live in a region with heavy snowfall, it makes sense to invest in a built-in heated driveway.
