"Josh and his team were excellent. He came out to get the measurements and was very thorough. His shop was equipped with proper tooling and machinery to handle any size project. He did a first class job. This is my 5th time using a custom cabinet shop and I would recommend Elite to anyone looking for good craftsmanship and a fair price!"

"Refacing is a great option if you don’t want to buy all new cabinets. Working with Reed was easy- he helped us match the color and style of our current cabinets. The new doors and drawers all have the easy soft close hinges- so nice! Reed is a great guy- polite, honest, responsive! We’re very happy with the updated cabinets!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Scott is very easy to work with. He is on top of it when it comes to communication and keeping you updated on the project. He built a custom cabinet for my kids books and went out of his way to make sure it was safe for little fingers. His work is very well done and the cabinet will last for a long time. Excellent quality work and I will use him in the future. His prices are fair, his work is excellent, and his communication is above anyone I have dealt with. He reached out to me without even asking. Went out of his way to match the color of paint I wanted. Just an all around great guy. I have had other custom pieces done by another company and letâ s just say I wonâ t be going back to them because of the lack of communication, quality in work and will be taking any custom work to Scott. He will not disappoint!"

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

Cabinet Making questions, answered by experts

The time it takes to install new cabinets depends on the scope of the project. For a kitchen installation, you can expect the process to take anywhere from 2-5 days for a standard layout up to a couple of weeks for more complex projects, depending on the number of cabinets and the installation space. For a smaller project, such as installing cabinets in a bathroom, you can expect the work to take a week or less. Your cabinet installation expert will be able to provide you with a realistic timeframe.

Clean regularly, avoid harsh chemicals, and check hinges for proper alignment to ensure longevity.

We recommend installing wall cabinets first so the base cabinets aren’t in the way. This order also prevents damage to the base cabinets if you drop tools or materials when installing the upper cabinets.

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Any of your garage shelves should be able to hold heavier loads, but it’s best to place heavier items on middle shelves. The only reason for this is to prevent injury—lifting heavy loads from down low requires squatting or bending over, which can lead to back injury, and lifting heavy loads off of high shelves in the garage can be especially dangerous if you drop them.
