"We initially hired VCH Flooring to remove carpet and install hardwood floors in our living room. We were so impressed with the quality of work and the professionalism of the crew that we called Parag back to install hardwood floors in all of our bedroom's. We love our new floors and anyone looking for new flooring checkout VCH Flooring I highly recommend them!"

"Very pleased with the result. Stephen spent a lot of time talking with my wife and I about our options and gave us a fair price quote. The floor had been covered with carpet for the last 50 years, and when it was ripped up, he discovered that there were pet stains. Realizing that we were price conscious, Stephen said he and the team would take the extra time to try to mitigate the stain at no additional cost to us. I'd definitely recommend Extreme Flooring."

Small jobs welcome

"I had a large floor with several unmatched areas due to fading from the sun. They sanded, stained, and clear coated the floor. Color was a perfect match to the floor in the rest of the house. One person who saw the results asked me for their name and number. Highly recommended."

"Eddie and his team were outstanding. I started with two rooms and because the quality and professionalism , I asked them to do more work. One of the painters, Carlos was very meticulous and did a fantastic job. The flooring team did a great job on a large area and they were all extremely neat and kept the area very clean . The job was completed on time and at a very fair price. I would strongly recommend Eddie and ETC."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Professional, respectful, extremely personable, at the top of his game. Love my laminate floors! He and his team did an outstanding job with incredible attention to detail, not to mention removing the old flooring and moving furniture, a job another contractor told me would take four days they had done in one! Look no further Juan is the best of the best."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

If you have a dark carpet and are going for a lighter look, you should replace it, rather than dyeing, since you can only go darker with dye. If your stains are too heavy to mask with carpet dye or the carpet is more than 10 years old, you should also consider replacing it.

Stain-resistant carpet might be worth it for your household if you have children or pets and expect spills to happen. While it may cost more than you expected upfront, you may save money in the long run if you have to replace your carpet less frequently (thanks to stains not absorbing down into the fibers).

The difference between a 40-oz. and 60-oz. carpet is the carpet face weight, meaning the 60-oz. carpet weighs 20 ounces more per square yard. When looking at two similar carpets of the same material and type, the 60-oz. carpet face weight likely indicates higher quality and more durability due to heavier carpet fibers.

Yes, you can recycle most types of carpet. If you hire a pro to remove your old carpet, ask about their carpet disposal process. Many companies will recycle the carpeting, but if yours doesn’t, you can ask them to take it to a recycling center for you (although there might be an additional fee). Alternatively, you can hire a junk hauling service or contact a carpet recycling organization (like CARE).

You can get away with stretching the carpet with some remaining items of furniture, so long as you have ready access to the parts of the carpet that require maintenance and you are not stretching through the furniture, as this leads to tears and fraying. Try to remove at least 50% of the furniture if you can’t remove it all.
