"I had Hunter Silouette blinds cleaned in a newly purchased home. The blinds were stained and dirty from construction. Archway not only made them look brand new, but the pick and drop off service they offer was outstanding. I only wish that I had discovered them sooner."

"The carpets and furniture had not been cleaned in more than 10 years.  Gary arrived at the time he said and they got right to work.  They did a wonderful job and were finished in about an hour.  Everything looks great.  Also, my husband is allergic to strong scents and Gary used a cleaning solution that was truly unscented so there is no perfumey smell in our house.  Very professional experience and everything looks great.
I had previously used We Clean On Site to clean some very old Hunter Douglas Duette Shades.  I had a great experience with Gary on that job as well."

Blind Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Tipping house cleaners—including those who cleans blinds—for a one-off job is customary, usually about 15% to 20% of the total invoice. But if you have a house cleaner that cleans the blinds for you, including the tip for blind cleaning with the overall tip once or twice a year will work.

Although it’s essential to clean your blinds every month or two as a best practice for keeping them dirt and dust-free, professional blind cleaning is often a more practical way to go. One significant benefit to having your blinds cleaned professionally is the overall saved time, as cleaning them yourself can be time-consuming. Other benefits include:

  • Ensuring that dirt and dust, which can cause health issues in those with sensitivities, are fully removed

  • Increasing the life expectancy of your current blinds to save money on replacements

  • Ensuring that your blinds are cleaned thoroughly and correctly, as blinds can be complex

Professionals either use microfiber cloths and a gentle cleaning solution or a vacuum for basic blind cleaning. Deeper blind cleaning may use a dry cleaning or ultrasonic process typically performed on-site at their business with special equipment.

Aim to dust your blinds once a week and deep clean them monthly. This routine will help you tackle all the dirt, dust, and grime before it becomes a stuck-on mess. If you’ve been meaning to stay more on top of your cleaning, a daily, weekly, and monthly house cleaning checklist can help.

Yes, it’s possible to clean your blinds without taking them down. Many professional blind cleaners have the tools and equipment needed to clean blinds either in place or to take them down and clean them. Often, the tools include vacuum cleaners, microfiber cloth, and gentle cleaning solutions, depending on the type of blind and the amount of cleaning required.
