"All in one fence company... All I can say is WOW !! Ricardo contacted me from angis list, he was prompt professional and answered hundreds of my questions with courtesy and patience. (In our experience with contractors this is very rare) They took down our old wooden fence and installed a new vinyl one that looks absolutely fabulous. "Val and Sony were fantastic. They responded quickly to my inquiry and came over for an estimate. I had a damaged chain link fence due to a recent storm knocking over a tree onto it. He explained what he would do to fix the fence, provided a fair price, and came with his brother Sony the next day. They did an incredible job repairing the fence. I will hire them again for sure for future home projects. They are extremely professional and I highly recommend them."

Small jobs welcome

"They did a great job excavating our landscaping which the builders had left full of concrete and other construction debris. They hauled it all away and replaced it with high quality topsoil. They worked hard and got the job done quickly. They were easy to get them to schedule the job."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Electric fences use very little energy and shouldn’t cause any surprises on your next energy bill; You may only notice an extra couple of dollars on the bill. While electric fences don’t consume much energy, they still need it. If you have a power outage after a storm, your electric fence will likely stop working.

You can DIY a stockade fence installation, but prepare to put in some good sweat equity. For the best results, carefully plan the exact location of your fence before you break ground. In particular, carefully map out your post locations before setting them in concrete. Be sure to call your local utility company before digging to avoid damaging underground wiring and causing severe injury.

On the other hand, installing stockade fencing on your own might sound too overwhelming. It’s certainly time-consuming and labor-intensive. Besides the hard work, you must install it properly to avoid gaps. Unless you’re confident you can get the job done right, hiring a privacy fence installer near you is the way to go.

Regular cleaning, rust-proof coatings, and checking fasteners help prolong the lifespan.

Whether you need a permit to build or install a fence depends on several factors, including your location, the fence's height, its placement in your yard, and the materials used. In many cities and highly populated areas, a permit is required, especially for fences taller than 6 feet. Conversely, rural areas may have fewer restrictions. Typically, backyard privacy fences 6 feet or shorter do not require a permit, while front yard fences often have a lower height limit, sometimes as low as 3.5 feet. There can also be exceptions for properties in mixed residential-commercial zones. It's best to check with your local building inspection or zoning department to understand the specific requirements, height restrictions, and location rules for your area. A professional fence installer can help you navigate this process and often secure the necessary permits for you, though this may extend the project timeline.

A barbed wire fence will last an average of 15 to 20 years, but the life expectancy can range anywhere between five and 50 years. Thicker wires last longer, as do fences made with galvanized metal. If the barbed wire fence is in a climate with harsh winters and summers, it likely won’t last more than 10 to 15 years. Failing to keep up with maintenance and repairs will also shorten the lifespan of a barbed wire fence.
