"Walter pruned it just enough to lessen the lop-sided load. At the last minute I realized that the cut-leaf maple in front needed to be pruned as it was touching the house and bedroom window. They did so without charge. I also asked them, with the sun close to setting, to trim the hedges/bushes. They gave me a good rate and did it very nicely, even blowing the fallen leaves (already on the lawn before they arrived) to the kerb, again at no charge. He assessed both trees, said he could remove the maple without damage to my neighbor's shed, and said the other tree was alright. (He could have said it needed to come down too, and increased the job for himself and the cost to me, but he didn't.) He took down the split maple safely, without touching my neighbor's shed, and removed all the debris, including some branches that weren't part of the tree's being taken down.
