I really enjoy what I do. It's exciting and interesting everyday. My customers love my affordability and the fact that I am a small one man show. Working hard and with satisfying home inspections for wood destroying insects has saved homeowners thousands. Punctuality, affordable, and I have a license 2 kill!! "I have had a great experience with Prestige Pest Services, I have used them for almost a year and will renew for another year. I use them for their quarterly pest management. They contact me every quarter to schedule the appointment. Their technician, Saul is always on time, very professional and thorough. He takes his time inspecting for pests, laying down different traps and baits and helps protect the interior and exterior with (safe) pesticides. I definitely recommend their services."

"I noticed there were several wasps flying in and out of my roof eave. I contacted Arkadia Pest Control because they have an A rating and over 100 review on Angie’s List. I requested to have the wasps in my attic exterminated. A technical arrived the following day. The technician explained his plan of attack in detail. He answered all of my questions and addressed all of my safety concerns. He was able to quickly locate the nest in the attic. Not only did the technician kill the wasps he removed the entire nest from the attic to dispose of it. At my request, the technician filled the void in the attic with gap filler at no extra change! Arkadia pest control fee includes a 3 month warranty which is generous. If I encounter any pest in the future I will contact Arcadia again."

Bird Control FAQs, answered by experts

Studies indicate that owls don't possess a conventional sense of fear. However, they find intense, sudden human noise unsettling, like clapping or shouting. Additionally, owls are likely spooked by sudden bursts of bright light. While they may not experience fear as humans do, these disturbances can disrupt their natural behaviors, making it essential to minimize such disruptions when sharing spaces with these remarkable creatures.

No single deterrent will work 100 percent of the time, so we suggest combining deterrents to ensure your seed has the best possible chance to grow. Using bird netting over your seed, with physical deterrents like mylar tape coupled with hanging bird feeders at the edges of your growing area—and removing any bird’s nests, if possible—will give your seeds the best possible chance for success.

If a wild animal enters your yard, prioritize safety for yourself and the animal. Remember to avoid direct contact and always keep a safe distance. Contact local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation center if the animal is hurt or in distress. Both sources should be able to guide you on how to proceed and send help if needed. Please wait for the animal to leave naturally for non-threatening situations, as many will. To deter future visits, implement measures like securing trash cans, sealing entry points, and removing potential food sources.

Yes, predator decoys work to keep birds away, at least temporarily. However, if the decoy remains motionless in the same spot for a long enough time, the birds will eventually wise up and realize it's a fake. Keep changing the location of the predator decoy to ensure that the birds keep their guard up and maintain their distance.

No, you shouldn’t have to worry about bats in your yard as long as they don’t make their way inside your house. Typically, bats hang around backyards in order to consume bugs, especially if they’re located in the U.S. Bats that are native to North America can consume more than 500 bugs per hour, so they may actually benefit your yard if mosquitoes are prevalent.
