"If anyone is looking to get grading and land level I recommend that you use Long Hill Contracting. Dave, who is the owner comes out to your home and does a walk thru. He asks questions on what you are looking to get down. He then present vision of your project with you. The projects turnaround time was very quick. He is extremely professional, project pricing is fair/reasonable and he goes out of his way to work within your budget. Thank you Dave!"

"Damian did a really nice job renovating our bathroom, particularly excellent tile work given a large dip on our floor to both levels and install the tile really smoothly. He started the project when he knew he would see it through completion (within a week) which we greatly appreciated. Demolishing and renovating a bathroom is not a mess-free job and he and his team maintained a really clean workspace and went above and beyond when it came to consideration and courtesy in this department vacuuming and cleaning up every night before leaving for the next day. You can tell that Damian really takes pride in his work and looks to do a job right: not just quick, and we are now appreciating a beautiful new bathroom!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

If you’re planning to dig on your property, you’ll need to check for underground utility lines. Call the national call-before-you-dig 811 number. Once connected to an operator, you can schedule a site visit to mark underground lines. This way, you won’t accidentally dig into pipes and can cause major (read: costly) issues.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.

Pros will assess your soil type, property geography, and rain patterns for optimal slope.

If you or your mortgage lender think your land survey needs to be more accurate, double-check the survey report and get at least a second opinion from the original surveyor and an inspector, if possible. Although it’s unlikely, even reputable surveying companies can make mistakes. An inaccurate survey can cause problems down the road in the case of any property line disputes, so it’s best to resolve any inaccuracies as quickly as possible.
