It was immediately obvious that Jack and his son, Dom, knew what they were doing and so we were hopeful the estimate would fit into our budget. "We hired Elegant Home Improvement to renovate 2.5 bathrooms, our master bedroom, our kitchen, and our Living room. John & his crew met and exceeded our expectations. They spent approximately 40 full days worth of work on our house and at the end of every day the work area, our yard, and our house was always clean and immaculate, while still making good progress. All construction boxes, trash, etc. was always removed and cleaned up before they left every day. They took extra effort to make this a positive experience for us and to make sure our house was livable during the renovation process. "My wife and I DO NOT use anyone who is not on Angie's List so we understand the importance of having accurate, fair reviews. We found Cary on Angie's List with overall great feedback on jobs he had done so we called him in for an estimate. Despite being very busy, he made the time to come over on a Saturday morning. He had previously dropped by and assessed the damage from the outside but needed to see it from the inside to ensure he could judge it accurately. After 15 minutes, our fears were realized and he said he would need to remove the cedar impression siding and remove the roof and replace it with a different system because the pitch wasn't steep enough. 
Within 48 hours, he provided a quote for his crew to come out and get the work done in a single day which was completely reasonable. He completed the work (guaranteed) as promised and left the site immaculate. He took pictures of the issue, of job progress and of the completed job. He mentioned he went around and filled some other issues he noticed while he was waiting for his crew to wrap up, no charge at all. He then discounted the quoted, agreed price 5% for angie's list deal I wasn't even aware of. Have you ever heard of a contractor accept less than an agreed price? Me neither.
Angie's List is a great resource for people to share experiences. I think the contractors who are honest and reasonable should be applauded too. We have been on the receiving end of some really lousy service so this was a new experience having someone do what they promised to do. Cary and his crew are the best in Monmouth County. We already have him pricing out finishing a storage space and will use him to build our deck in the spring. I cannot recommend Cary enough and you can reach me through Cary if you'd like to see his work firsthand.

"Everything went well from start to finish. Mike is a professional and very knowledgeable. The price was not that much more than vinyl even though we were getting top quality Hardie siding and beautiful window/door trim and new gutters.  The house looks beautiful and I would highly recommend Mike."
