"Literally getting the phone call from them within 60 seconds after I entered my information. The job is done with reasonable price within 1 hour. Replacing stained glass is not an easy job everyone else can do, glad to see skilled people can take care of this around NY area."

"The technicians of which one being the owner came out, measured the window, gave me a price and date for when the replacement glass should be ready.  The office called within the timeframe given to schedule the installation.  No issues with the installation and they were very friendly. My wife was comfortable with them around.  The installation was relatively quick.  They cleaned up after themselves any charge the price quoted.

"Kibur Sahlu was an absolute professional. Contacted us right away for our job and kept constant contact in all phases before actual appt to repair. He came when no one else would. He was flexible and easy to work with. My husband stood by while he worked and said if we could, we should give him 5 + stars We will hire this company again for all our home and repair needs."

"Right from the beginning to the end of the project, I was amazed at the level of superiority and excellence that Cristian and Miguel showed. I knew nothing about the glass industry but I knew what I wanted in my home. They were able to fit my needs and preferences according to my schedule and I’m happy with the results. They are very charming indeed and I enjoyed every conversation and encounter with them. The end results of my home looks so breathtaking, I can’t believe they were able to do so without hesitation."

"John and his team were absolutely amazing from start to finish. John makes sure everything is discussed before starting the project and creating the contract. He goes shopping with you to ensure best options are selected. His team is very professional, clean up after themselves so you never knew they were there. John is very responsive and open to any issues or questions that may arise and is very cost conscious and economical for any issues that may be discovered throughout the process. Highly recommend John and his team"

Glass Block questions, answered by experts

Heavy glass tends to be more expensive than thin glass because it is stronger and more durable. In most cases, ¼-inch-thick glass is ideal for mirrors, and ⅛-inch-thick glass is ideal for residential windows. Heavier glass isn’t always necessary, and can be more challenging to hang or install. Work with a local window installation pro for replacement or new construction windows.

Regular cleaning with non-abrasive cleaners helps prevent buildup and maintains clarity.

Glass block windows typically last for 15 to 30 years, which is slightly less than the 20- to 50-year lifespan of standard windows. You can extend their life by resealing them every few years. Professional installation is also key to ensuring the windows are placed correctly and will function properly for years to come. A professional installer will have the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to install these features and can identify potential issues like damaged frames or cramped areas during a consultation.

Glass block mortar is the best choice for glass block window units. It is specifically formulated for glass block window installation. Glass block mortar is usually a mixture of Portland cement, sand, and special chemicals. It is a white mortar that is applicable inside and outside your home. Do not use regular tile mortar because it may not have the binding strength and flexibility required for glass block windows.

Glass walls are more expensive overall than their brick or drywall counterparts. However, if you need walls for a building with more than two or three stories, glass walls are the more budget-friendly option.
