"We had French drains installed along the perimeter of our basement. The contractor had a large enough crew to complete the project in a day. They cleaned up all of the debris and left the basement in great shape. We have had one very large rain storm since the work and the basement had no sign of any water entering the basement, a job well done."

"The storm that hit Monmouth County on 7/22/19 caused a voltage spike in my home.It ruined the compressor in my air conditioner. When the repair tech came to my home on 7/23/19 the voltage was still very high. Artic Air ordered a new compressor. When it was delivered to them, they contacted me to let me know it was in. They could install it if the voltage was low enough. They were able to determine that the voltage was acceptable, and they installed the compressor that day. Artic Air went out of their way to keep me informed of their progress every step of the way. Their service was excellent, The Parts Manager was especially helpful."

"Andrew is pleasant, efficient, and knowledgeable. He was able to fit in our installation the day after I asked him to do the job. Since this was a re-installation, he had a good idea on improving the finished product. Price for the installation was more reasonable than his competitor."

"We had French drains installed around the whole perimeter of the basement. They were very professional from start to finish. Very fair quote and to be honest the best we recieved. On the day of the project, Tony who had given the quote was there to walk us through everything and get it all going. Even Steve the owner came out and checked in with us. The crew was great. They answered any questions we had, were very hard working and left the house cleaner then they found it. Overall a great experience."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

A screen door needs at least two hinges, though most have three or four hinges. The amount of hinges depends on the weight and size of the door. The heavier your door, the more hinges it will need for support. Exterior doors, which are sturdier than interior doors, have the most hinges.

Storm doors aren’t necessarily outdated. In fact, there are many benefits to installing a storm door, including improving your home’s energy efficiency, keeping pests out of your house, and protecting your home against the elements. However, storm doors aren’t great if you live in an area with high humidity because the door can trap heat and potentially damage your front door.

The average cost to install a door is around $1,100, but you could pay anywhere from $150 for a hollow-core interior door installation up to $2,000 or a high-end exterior door installation. There are a few cost factors to consider to get an accurate price, including whether your wall opening exists, the type of door, the quality and security of the door, whether you need to replace the frame, and the door size. You can expect to pay $150 to $700 for a standard 36-by-80-inch door and between $400 and $1,600 for an 80-by-48-inch door.

Yes, installing or replacing a storm door is a manageable DIY project, especially for those with experience replacing regular doors. Many modern storm doors feature simple, pre-hung designs and come with the necessary hardware, making installation more convenient. With basic tools, a DIY installation is possible, though professional services can ensure proper alignment and weatherproofing. On average, installing a pre-hung storm door takes about four hours.

There are several potential causes of a gap at the top of your storm door. For one, your door may naturally start to sag as your house settles over time. Other possible explanations include loose screws, faulty hinges, damaged weatherstripping, or incorrect installation. The right solution for fixing a gap will depend on the cause.
