He and his team removed old, falling insulation from our crawlspace, sprayed for mold then painted all the joist and re-insulated in less than a week! They also disposed of several fury friends from our attic, treated and re-insulated. We highly recommend  The Mold Guys LLC for mold remediation & insulation!"

"This company has made me feel safe and secure. I was unaware that 14 windows in my house did not lock. Now I can go to sleep with peace of mind. The salesman showed me everything and was thorough every step of the way. The install manager answered all my questions and the crew knocked it out the park and they are complete horses. Thank you so much victory."

"Andrew came out to do an estimate for the job.  Andrew was very personable and knowledgeable about basement waterproofing.  He went to the basement and did a complete walk around while explaining to me about hydrostatic pressure and that I would need a full perimeter basement waterproofing.  Andrew, on an estimate sheet, did a detailed drawing of the basement showing where the drains and sump crocks would go, stated there was no problem in taking off the radiators and reinstalling them, stated he could remove the panelling and put it back on and came up with the idea of waynes coating and trim but I would need to supply the paint, stated they could demo the shower and pad and cap the lines, stated they could install a new pump and rehook up my laundry sink to the sewer line.  All of this discussion was written down on the estimate sheet.  I did tell him it was an estimate and I may need to have him come back and that was no problem for him.  I did decide to go with Righway Waterproofing and that this was a lifetime warranty since it was a full perimeter waterproofing with 1 transfer if I sold the house.
The demolition and the drilling of the holes in the walls to relieve the water in the walls was done quickly.  All debris was taken out and basement windows were removed to take in supplies and stone.  Like another reviewer had stated, the removal and put back of the windows could have gone a little better.  The pipe was laid in and concrete was poured.  3 ft of panelling removed and mold and deodorizer treatment were done.  The basement smells so fresh now.  No more of that dank, musty smell.  Concrete was poured and needed to wait for some curing.  Needed to get new radiator covers installed and Rightway Waterproofing paid for them. Shower was removed along with pad and lines were capped off.  Ran into a small problem with the capping of the lines.  Two areas dripped and dripped into the concrete that was poured so they had to correct  the capping so no more dripping and do some concrete patch work.  Had to wait about 10 days before new waynes coating and trim installed and painted.  Install new pump drain under sink and connect to sewer line.
Now for some of the issues I did have:  The new pump drain under the sink took 3 times till it was done correctly.  The threshold drain by the bilko door was too short and did not accomodate the small incoming pipe hole so when the first heavy rain came, part of the basement near the washer and dryer filled with water. I had to wet-vac the water out.   I did a makeshift drain routeway so near this incoming pipe hole would flow to the threshold drain.  They came out la few days later and reinstall a longer threshold drain and built a little concrete hill so the incoming pipe hole flows to the threshold drain.  The one sump crock pump was not hooked up correctly so with that first heavy rain the water did not pump out but flowed into the basement.  I had to wet-vac that water out.  They came out that day and reconnected the pump hose correctly.
I am happy that I had the work done and I love having a dry basement.   I know I was quite demanding on some of my requests but they handled it well.  It did take me a while to get used to not checking for water and I don't  miss staying up all night wet-vaccing the basement.
A few recommendations to Righway Waterproofing is that they should have an emergency phone number to call when you have problems.  Plus, they should do a follow-up contact a few months after the work is done to see how the customer likes the work and how the customer is doing.
Overall, they did a good job and I would recommend them to others.

"We needed a professional, courteous, experienced, fast response & assessment of the mold occurring in our basement after flooding. RHK came through for us. Rajay came the same day we called. After working a full day already with other clients, he arrived as promised and, yes, he determined that we have mold. Rajay patiently explained the steps necessary to begin drying out the basement: adding another dehumidifier, running fans for approx 72hrs, turning on the air conditioning (we are now experiencing 80° temps in April!), & immediately gathering any organic material harboring mold like paper that must be trashed. Rajay also tested the furniture to see if any of it could be saved. He really took his time & explained what he would be able to do to fix the mold problem and even reminded us to have someone check that the downspouts are adequately draining water away from the house outside. Rajay promised to provide a written estimate in a few days. No charge for this initial visit and we were glad that Rajay agreed with us that we could first handle the drying out tasks ourselves for free. As soon as we dry out and have the damaged things hauled away, we will call on Rajay to go forward with replacing the damaged paneling with drywall, installing new insulation, & treating the mold."

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

The best type of attic insulation depends on where you live, your budget, and what stage of construction the attic is in. For example, if you're building a house, then structural insulated panels are a worthy investment since they're easy to install during construction and they're the most energy-efficient type of insulation.

Additionally, if you live in a very warm climate, then you can potentially save quite a bit of money by opting for reflective insulation, which is more affordable than comprehensive insulation but doesn't work well for cool climates. Blown-in, loose-fill, and spray foam insulation are all great options for attics in moderate climates.

No, you shouldn’t wrap a towel, old T-shirt, or other porous fabric around your faucets. These materials absorb water, which can make your faucet more likely to freeze. Instead, you want to use waterproof, insulative covers that can seal tightly around the spigots for the best protection against frozen outdoor faucets and pipes.

While there are many different kinds of insulation, spray foam, blown-in, foam board, and batt and roll are the four types you’re most likely to see. That doesn’t mean they’re alike, though. Each one varies drastically in terms of cost, materials used, and how they’re installed—not to mention, how well they limit heat transfer.

Yes, PEX pipes should be insulated in certain situations. While insulation is not always necessary for pipes running through insulated interior or external walls, it is recommended for any pipes located in uninsulated rooms, unheated areas, or outside, especially in regions with cold winters. The primary reason is to prevent freezing. Although PEX is more resistant to cracking from freezing than other materials, repeated freezing and thawing can weaken the pipes over time, increasing the risk of a burst.

Experts use advanced techniques and tools to assess existing insulation levels and identify gaps. They implement strategic placement of new insulation to ensure complete coverage, optimizing thermal resistance and energy efficiency.
