"Hired them to clean chimney and fireplace. Then, I had them clean my ducts a few days later. On-time, great price, neat professional work on both jobs. I recommend them and will use again."

"First time needing a chimney sweep to service,. Easy to deal with over the phone, honest and open communication as high potential for weather delays if raining. Absolutely impressed with the attention to details and overall finished work. We have gone from a squeaky flu opening to gliding and almost silent, the steel box is glistening. We even got a lesson on how to best operate the fire to send the heat into the house instead of up the chimney. We will rebook for sure."

"The guys from A1 Chimney just probably saved us from a fire!!! After cleaning and repairing our fireplace and chimney on the way out they mentioned that they also did dryer vent cleaning.....right away i knew we needed this done. It had never been done and we have lived in our home for 13 years. It was shocking how much lint they removed. I am so thankful for their great service ....they did us a big favor by mentioning this service and i truly appreciate them!!! They were courteous and professional and very helpful in every way."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Yes, most insurance plans cover acts of nature. In policy documents, this also may be called “Acts of God” or “natural disasters.” However, not all acts of nature are covered by your policy, and the extent to which they’re covered depends on your specific contract. Check your policy documents to understand your coverage limits and exclusions.

Regular HVAC filter changes, deep cleaning, and air quality monitoring help maintain a healthy environment.

To get rid of the smoke smell in a microwave, scrape off any burnt food residue and throw it away. Next, warm a cup of water in a microwave-safe container for three minutes. Then, dip a microfiber cloth into a mixture of water and a couple of drops of dish soap and wipe down the inside of the microwave. Dry the inside of the microwave with a fresh cloth and let everything air out for three hours.

Yes, most homeowners insurance policies cover fire damage and restoration, provided the fire was not set intentionally or caused by negligence. Accidental fires, such as those from electrical issues, cooking, or gas, are typically covered. Your policy will usually cover emergency services like roof tarping, the full cost of remediation and rebuilding, and may also cover alternative housing while your home is being restored. You will be responsible for paying your policy's deductible. It is important to check your policy details to see how coverage is calculated—it may be for the full replacement cost of damaged items or the actual cash value, which accounts for depreciation. To expedite your claim, contact your insurance company immediately and have all necessary documentation ready.

Just about anything that can damage your roof can damage a solar panel. It’s common for panels to sustain damage from hail or falling branches. Critters can chew through the wires. Snow and heavy rainfall can cause additional wear, along with extreme temperatures, which can degrade or stress the individual components. Even the UV rays that create electricity slowly damage your panel over time.
