I needed some minor repair work done at a home that I'm selling in Berlin. Mr. Handyman got everything done in a timely manner. Quality work and very responsive. The technician , Wayne, did a great job & Courtney at the office was very helpful as well.

Reached out to Mr. Handyman for three small tasks on our house. They were able to setup an appointment that same week. On the day of service, the tech (Mike) showed up right on time. Mike was great. He suggested the paint I purchased the night before would take significantly longer than a spray paint version of the same product. Spray paint was fine for the small paint jobs needed so I ran to Home Depot to get spray paint while he completed the first task. Mike was done all three tasks in time for me to leave home and be at the office before lunchtime. Never felt like he was rushing the work to get done, or taking his time to pad the hours. Did very good work. I appreciated the pricing model of charging per hour worked. Customers just need to prepare the worksite as much as possible and have materials on-hand when the tech arrives. I'll definitely be using Mr. Handyman again.

We called and the trim was dangling. Mr. Handyman arrived later that day and fix it. Faster than anyone else and the trim he fixed is still perfect. He always guarantees his work and i will use him again and again.

Mr. Handyman is always on time, they are actually typically there earlier than the time they give by roughly 10-15 minutes. Their staff is always very professional and make sure the space they are working in is cleaner then the way they found it. I would highly recommend using them for any items on your daily to do list that you can't do yourself.

Mr. Handyman has ripped out and replaced the wood trim around my garage doors, they have fixed broken cabinets, done minor plumbing work for my upstairs bathroom to get the hot water working again, and they have helped with small tasks like assembly of furniture and tv hanging.

Had a countertop incorrectly installed, so I called this service. The person who handled setting up the appointment was very professional, and the person who was to provide the estimate showed up on time. The job was to remove a portion of the granite countertop (approx 4x3 feet), swap a cabinet and a spacer, then replace the top. He looked, said a few words, left ... and I never heard from him again. Maybe this is a hard job. I mean, I can't do it, right? That's why I wanted to hire someone professional. So either a) give me an estimate. If it's a hard job that requires more time, so be it. or b) tell me you don't want the work. Will definitely never try to use this service again.

Mr. Handyman came over, went over my list and got right to work. He worked quickly and was very neat and polite. He got through my whole list in a short period of time and everything looked great when he was done! I always call Mr. Handyman when I have a list and they can always help!

It wasn't until after the visit that I realized how simple the job was and how quickly it should have been completed. Never should it have cost $175. The owner was rigid in how he wanted to rectify the situation. He did not ascribe to the adage, "the customer is always right". .. not even sometimes.

Originally quoted that job would take 1 person 4 hrs (approx $500) for a front door and storm door installation. Individual came to home and stated it would be a two person job and no one else was available that day. Spoke with office, rescheduled for 5 days later. A different individual came out 5 days later (again - just one person) and told us that its a 2 person job that they cannot do alone. Several hours later, another individual came to help (though we were charged for those several hours of one individual trying to do the job in the meantime). It ended up taking approx 8 hrs for the job to be performed on this day for which we were charged $2000 AND THEY DID NOT EVEN COMPLETE THE JOB! They framed out the door, placed the front door and place some of the trim on the outside but did not start inside trim, finish outside trim or install storm door at this point. They stated they would need to come out at another scheduled time to complete the job. Nanny was home with child the entire time they were working and per her, "it seemed like they were really taking advantage of the fact that you were paying by the hour." Granted, I was not present to view how hard they were working (I was working myself) so I cannot speak specifically to that comment. The quality of work completed to that point was acceptable but they purchased additional materials (which they then charged us for but did not ask if we would/wouldn't want them), including a keystone which I did not want or like. My husband (who signed the contract) was not home when they completed the first days' work (he was also working). He discussed his concerns with the office when it opened the following day but was never able to answer the phone when the owner called because he called when my husband was working. The following day (again, husband and I worked all day), the owner came to our house and repeatedly rang the doorbell around 730 pm until I answered the door. I was putting my child to bed and could not immediately answer the door - boy was he persistent! I expressed my concerns to him directly but asked him to speak to my husband because he stated, "well you didn't sign the contract so you don't know what was agreed upon." During the entire conversation, the owner was defensive and accusing us of avoiding payment which is due "at the completion of the job" (which in our eyes was NOT completed at this point). I immediately called my husband (who was still working) who attempted to call the owner with no response. The owner and my husband were able to connect on day 3 after the job was started and the owner did not even attempt to make the situation right (no offer to complete the job at a discount, discount the work they already did, discount the items purchased that were not approved, etc). My husband paid the full price for a job not completed that was 4x the original quote. He ended up finishing the job himself, including removal of the keystone that I never wanted. I would NEVER recommend doing business with this company.

We are genuinely sorry this member's spouse feels the way she does. The original budget estimate was provided to the member over the phone sight-unseen based upon limited information provided by the member. After seeing the job and consulting with the member the budget was increased reflecting the actual work required to complete the job under his unique circumstances. The project proceeded with full authorization and approval by the member. To save money, member decided to complete trim work himself. In response to the member's expressed concerns, our owner stopped by to see the work while hoping to meet the member who was actively involved. Arrived at a time convenient for most customers; after the dinner hour at 7:00 and asked to speak with the member who evidently was not home. After addressing the previously expressed concerns, our owner spoke with the member the next day and had a perfectly pleasant conversation and cheerfully honored his request to apply a discount.

Price was reasonable. I had a follow up question about warranty information & received a call back from the owner explaining their policy. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I'd like to start off by saying that everyone I spoke with and dealt with was pleasant and professional. The work they did was tops. The technicians were professional, pleasant, and honest. Still, I would not hire them again, and here is why. There was much confusion when their written estimate was more than double the two prior verbal estimates. At this point, I was told that the misunderstanding was that the job required 2 technicians and the previous estimates had been for 1 technician. I was further told that the second technician would be sent and I would be charged for only one. When the guys arrived, they noted that the way in which my siding was installed in one area made the job much more complicated than previously thought and several more hours of labor would be required. The technician suggested a solution that would be more cost-effective and the men repaired the siding in the other two areas. When it came time to pay, there was, once again, a miscommunication. The technicians were not told how to charge for the job, even though the email they send told me that the matter had been discussed with them, they were completely unaware of any negotiation. After I explained the situation, they contacted the office and came back with a lower bill. Even though the charge was in line with others, all the confusion created by the office's miscommunication, both with me and with the technicians would make me hesitate to hire them again.

The overall experience was very good. My only complaint is that the steps weren't done right the first time. The owner came out to the house to make sure that everything got done correctly the second time which I appreciated. He also offered me some of my money back. They did a great job on the power washing.
