"Lee, the owner, came to my rescue when a previous contractor performed sub-standard work and left me in limbo. Lee had already performed some impressive work in the basement of my house 4 years ago when working for another contractor; I couldn't be happier to now know Lee has his own business!! I will most certainly be dealing with Lee from now on, and have already recommended him to friends."

"TNN managed our new construction and land development project from scratch. Tim caught MANY errors by the Engineer and Architect before they could become a problem. He made many great suggestions to elevate our original plans. Work quality is great and they take pride in everything they do. Nick did an amazing job on our trapezoid windows and carpentry work. We highly reccommed TNN and will continue to use them for the next phase of our project (garage) We would be happy to provide a reference and even show the work they completed for our project. "Since we are looking in to buy in Ohio, Mark could not work with us due to not being licensed there.  He was very helpful and spent several minutes on the phone answering questions and helping me understand a couple different unconventional loans.

"TCW Builders did an amazing job remodeling our basement. They took a dingy unfinished space and turned it into two beautifully finished rooms with a stunning bar area. They listened to what our visions were and made our visons come true - a music room for me and yoga room for my wife Additionally they built out a bar area with a hand made bar top that enhances the area. The project was completed on time and within our budget. Trevor and Mason where a joy to have remodel our home. We couldn't be happier with their professionalism and craftmanship. We would highly recommend TCW Builders."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Yes, custom designs match existing structural and aesthetic themes.

It can take anywhere from a few days to several months to draw up architectural plans, depending on the complexity of your project. Architectural plans are highly detailed documents that take time to complete, and any changes or alterations can significantly extend how long they take.

Hiring a contractor with knowledge about historic renovations and reviewing their previous work is important. You can find a historic home renovation contractor by calling your local historic preservation office, historical society, or any local historic museums nearby. The staff may have suggestions for specialized contractors who have worked for them. You can also ask them about historic home restorations that you have seen and liked in your area to get recommendations for pros.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.
