Mr. Gomez Construction was hired to repair the stucco on my mother's 100-year-old Tudor home in Spring Lake. I highly recommend Jose Gomez for the stucco repair job he did at my mother's house. He answered the first phone call promptly, showed up at the appointed time, gave her an excellent estimate, started work on schedule, finished the job on time, and cleaned up all the debris on the job site promptly. Mr. Gomez Construction's excellent work ethic was in sharp contrast to the other contractors that were contacted for this job. His work is excellent! The house looks wonderful!

Our home was built in the early 1930’s so I can tell you it’s been a non stop frenzy of contractors and upgrades needed. So this review is coming from a person who has dealt with a multitude of contractors and knows who the good ones are as well as the bad. I have to tell you that Jose and his workers did an amazing job. The stucco was done flawlessly. They did not leave my home until it was perfect. I had a very extensive job. The entire house, detached two car garage and retaining walls were all stuccoed. Because our house was old there was a lot of rotted wood that needed to be replaced and Jose got it all done timely and beautifully. They literally restored my faith in Contractors. I would say these were the best folks we have ever dealt with. Every single time we called Jose about anything he showed up immediately and always responded to our calls. They went above and beyond to take care of little extra things that most wouldn’t care about. We secured 3 different quotes before we hired them from others. And I would say - don’t even waste your time having anyone else quote it - you won’t get anyone better to do your job. They are honestly the best! Thank you again for everything Jose and everyone at Mr. Gomez Construction for all your hard work, care and professionalism and for making our labor of love turn into our beautiful home!

I hired this company to fix the stucco on my home. When he showed up the first day, he was an hour late. I only knew he was stuck in traffic after calling him. When he arrived, he took a look at the house and had to increase the cost of the work. That was fine, bit it felt unprofessional to start working on the house before I even agreed to the price increase. Later on that day, he made fun of me, thinking I didn't get the house inspected prior to purchase as the stucco was not in great shape. I'm not sure I'd say something like that, as I literally hired him to fix said stucco. The next day, he was supposed to return to do color and finish the rest of the cracks. Two and a half hours after he was supposed to show up, I finally heard back from him, saying he wouldn't be coming that day because his paint guy never got back to him. When he finally did return, he was, again, late, and while he did work for about 11 hours, there were still many gaps in the stucco, which were asked to be fixed. When I contacted him to return, he told me he would get back to me this week to patch the last of it, and has since ghosted me for the rest of the week. The work he did do was passable, but I'd never work with him again. All pictures included were taken after he left.

"Sorry for the bad experience with us but I have to clarify certain things, the agreement we had was to repair only the areas of the photos that you sent me and the work was completed exactly as agreed. When we got to the house, it was noticed that all the Stucco in the house had problems and in an area that we had to seal only the openings, we saw that the wall was no longer firm and had to be removed and the Stucco had to be done again. I sent you a video about the problem so that you could see it because that was not in the agreement , while you were thinking we continued to do the rest of the areas then you called saying that it was okay for us to remove that part and at that very moment I sent you an updated contract. I never made fun of you, I simply informed you that if the inspector did not inform you that the Stucco in the house was in bad condition and you replied that there was no inspector, I explained the situation and the seriousness with the Stucco because it is my job that doesn't mean I'm making fun of you. I was specific when I said that I had to match the color and that it will take from a day to 2 for them to give me the color is beyond my power to control when they will give me the color. We fill in all the areas that were agreed upon when the work was completed. I told you to check it if everything was correct so that you would see that everything that was agreed was completed. Again from the beginning I informed you that the Stucco was in poor condition and that all the walls have cracks. About 3 weeks later you contact me saying that the work was not completed that there were missing areas to seal I told you send me the photos of where we did not do it and I begin to verify with the previous photos and they are other areas of the house I informed you that those areas were not included that if you compare them with the photos that you sent me the first time, they are the same pictures when I saw the disgust I told you that I was going to repair some parts and that I was not going to charge you but if you wanted to fix a lot I had to charge you I told you that I was busy doing some work but that I would go to do the repairs as a courtesy. I'm sorry that your bad experience was that the areas that were not included were not repaired."
