"Mr. Gomez was a joy to have worked on my older stucco home. I connected with him thru HA and within minutes, he called right back. He came to see what my job entailed (repairing/replacing exterior stucco walls of home). The same day he arrived to see the job, he provided estimate before he left, impressive. I had my entire home & detached garage scraped of the old stucco and new smoother textured stucco applied, replaced a few stone steps, painted some trim and my house is absolutely beautiful! He estimated 3-4 weeks, he was done in 16 days as he and his staff worked 7 straight days and some days well into the early evening. I would no doubt highly recommend Mr. Gomez Construction for any and all stone and stucco work, his work is over the top beautiful, he's a perfectionist. I would call him again and again and recommend him to anyone needed quality work as my home looks totally different but gorgeous...so much so that folks driving by have stopped and gave compliments. Mr. Gomez, and staff were a pleasure, I just wish he was a general contractor as I would have hired him to do the rest of things I need done on my house, MR GOMEZ, you are a winner in my book."

"Elio and his team worked effectively. They started with clean up and ended up with a great stucco replacement on my entire home foundation. The price was fair and the job was completed. It's gonna be happier."

"Needed to have old patio replaced and extended. Also needed rain gutter on rear of house replaced. Angelo, of Jersey Pro Construction was easy to deal with and responded to my questions and concerns. Called Angelo to resolve some issues upon job completion which he responded to. Price was Comparable to other estimates received. Would hire again and even recommended Jersey Pro to a neighbor."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.

Tools include trowels, floats, and patching compounds. Professionals use these for precise and durable repairs.

To repair damaged exterior stucco, you’ll first remove all loose and crumbling material from the damaged area. You then need to thoroughly clean the area and dampen it to ensure proper bonding. After that, you’ll apply a bonding agent to the repair area, then apply new stucco in layers, allowing for curing time between each layer. The final coat should be textured to match the surrounding stucco pattern as closely as possible. Once fully cured, the repaired area can be painted to match the rest of the wall if needed.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.
