"From the minute Tomy called me back I knew these were the roofers I wanted to deal with for my roof issues. I had a difficult roofing issue and he was honest about all my options. Architectural shingles are thicker and more durable than standard 3-tab shingles, and they become even stronger when they also have high impact resistance and wind resistance ratings. The most durable shingles for areas with extreme weather are architectural or luxury shingles that have a Class-4 impact resistance and a Class-H wind resistance that can stand up to winds reaching 150 mph.

Depending on the type of damage your roof shingles have, you may be able to simply repair them without having to replace them.   • Moisture and Condensation Control: The air gap allows for better airflow, which helps prevent moisture buildup and condensation under the metal panels.

  • Structural Support: They provide a solid, even frame to which you can attach the metal roofing panels.

It is especially important to use furring strips when installing a metal roof over existing shingles. Without them, the roof surface can be uneven, and you will experience greater solar heat gain.
