"We started out with a budget just for the kitchen to repaint the kitchen cabinets, replace the flooring with porcelain tiles, redo the peninsula, use quartz for the counter tops, add recess lighting, and center the lighting fan. Into the job, based on Harvey's excellent advice, we decided to get new kitchen cabinets, have Harvey and his team build storage cabinets above the new cabinets instead of having a soffit built in that open space. We also had a pantry rebuilt by Harvey and his team as well. Lastly we had the peninsula changed to an island with cabinets added underneath as well. Also, we decided to redo the small (powder) bathroom on the main floor. Harvey and his team were awesome. He was very patient in allowing us to make changes to the original plans that turned out quite outstanding. His team always showed up early for work. The quality of the work was simply outstanding. Instead of half doing things like what we got with the Home Depot contractors in years prior, Harvey and his team took things back to the studs and made sure the things were built the right way. I now feel very confident about what is behind the walls and how the work was done. I will attached pictures of the kitchen and bathroom by next week. We are still putting things back into the new cabinets now and etc. We are extremely happy with the work Harvey and his team did. We intend to use them for a few other projects in the future. If you're really thinking about having work done on your home, I would highly recommend that you speak with Harvey to have his team come to do an amazing job for you as well. "Following several disappointing attempts to engage a contractor, even one we had used previously, to refresh a second bathroom, we found ETC Home Improvement on Angie's List. While we saw a host of reviews that were nothing short of wonderful, we remained tentative. That was until we contacted ETC's owner, Eddy. He spoke with us on a Saturday, met with us the following Tuesday evening. He reviewed and discussed the scope of the project and offered his insights and suggestions that ultimately made the outcome even more pleasing to us. We were sold on this professional, pleasant man. "I had a great experience with DreamWorks Remodeling. Oleg and his team were a pleasure to work with - from the initial estimates to the final work being done, he kept us informed of the progress of the project every step of the way through phone calls, emails and text messages, and was more than able to answer any questions we had. To me, one thing that set DreamWorks apart from other contractors was their down-to-earth approach to sizing up the project. We ended up not getting the cheapest materials and not getting the most expensive materials, but found a good balance that would be more than sufficient for our needs. He also made sure that we were involved in any decisions that needed to be made when it came to colors, materials, placement of downspouts, etc. The manufacturer they use for shutters had about 20 different color options, but none of them were exactly what we wanted. Oleg was able to provide paintable shutters instead, so that I could just paint them whatever color I wanted and his team would then install them. This worked out well for me, as I was able to get exactly the color I wanted. They were also willing to replace the roof of our shed using the same shingles as the house, which ended up looking great. What really impressed me was the workmanship they showed in replacing the siding. This is a really big job - essentially covering every square inch of the house in new siding, replacing any rotted wooden fascia with new wood pieces wrapped in aluminum and similarly wrapping all window frames, light fixture base units, plumbing fixtures and really anything sticking out of the house with clean, aesthetically pleasing materials. As a result, it looks like a brand new house on the outside, and we couldn't be happier with the results."
